Ghostly Trick or Treat Box

Happy...Happy...Halloween everyone...today is spooktacular...LOL...it is cold but sunny and a little windy here in upstate New York.
I received this card from a friend of mine who purchased it at a craft fair a couple of weeks ago...it is very cute...and I will have to take it apart to see how it was done...When it is flat it's a card...with the ghost peeking out of the top.

Open it up and the ghost pops straight up onto the box...so adorable...This may be my project for next year since Halloween is almost over.
I am just guessing at what supplies may have been used...I do know the stamp set is Spooks Galore and is retired (I have the set)...the card stock looks like Only Orange, Basic Black, and Whisper White...I don't know the name of the background stamps used and the ink is black...soooooooooooooo...cute...I love it.
Thank you Linda for thinking of me.
Today is the last day of the month...but breast cancer is every day...October was Breast Cancer Awareness Month so if you didn't get a chance to schedule your mammogram take a couple of minutes now to call and make your appointment...It doesn't hurt and only takes a few minutes...do it now.
Thank you for stopping by...hope you enjoyed the card...have a stampin' good day.

Boo Tote Bag

This is my project I had for the ladies to do in class today...a ghostly cute Halloween tote bag with a Boo Tag...use it to collect treats...or at the front door full of treats ready to hand out...I will be working Halloween night, so I am going to carry my dinner in my tote bag...cute...cute...cute...this would also be a fun project for the kids to make their own trick or treat bags...to make it even quicker and easier for them you could have everything pre-cut and just have them glue on what they would like to add to their bags...it will keep them busy for at least an half-an-hour or so.

This is the recipe:

Stamp Sets: Stamp Around Wheel Spooky Spiders, Whimsical Alphabets and A Haunting We Will Go (retired)...Halloween Bats from Hero Arts.

Card Stock: Basic Black, Whisper White, Lavender Lace, and Only Orange.

Inks: Basic Black, Bashful Blue, and Lavender Lace.

Additional Accessories:Snail Adhesive, Sakura Clear and Purple Glitter Pens, Judikin's Colour Duster Brush, Scotch Tacky Adhesive, Sizzix Tag and Buckles Dies, Raffia and Googly eyes from Micheal's.

All supplies from Stampin' Up unless otherwise noted...If you are wondering where the Bashful Blue ink was used...I used my colour duster to just dust around the edges of the ghost...it takes away some of the stark whiteness and gives it a little dimension.

Today is raining and especially dreary...it would be nice to enjoy a big cup of Butternut Squash Soup and then spend the rest of the evening having a stampin' good time...MMMMMMMMMMMMMM...I think I just convinced myself to do that...LOL...thanks for stopping by everyone and I hope you too can have a stampin' good evening.

Just another quick reminder October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month...please remember to get your mammogram done...it is quick, almost painless, and you may get a goodie gift after it is over...I liked my two goodies that I received (see them under the October 20th post).

You're Sweet

Are these cards the cutest...this set retired a long time ago, but it is still one of my favorites...it is the perfect set to make a card for a little girls birthday or any special occassion...and don't tell me that sundae doesn't look yummy...LOL.

The cake could be used as a wedding or birthday cake...this would make a beautiful wedding cake and if you knew the bride's colours all you would have to do is match the card stock...these cards were so much fun to make...I think I'll make a couple more and leave them blank so that I'll have them ready to give at a moments notice....want a slice of cake???...YUMMO.

I just want to share with everyone what I treated myself to for my birthday...and if I get a chance today I will see if I can do a class project with it for the ...Is A Stampin' Good Time ladies class...I know they will love it...I can't wait...I can't remember who's site I saw a project with using the Janome Sew Mini...but she was my enabler who pushed me over the edge...LOL...a big THANK YOU.

I want to apologize for the quality of my pics...I don't know why they don't come out crisp and sharp like everyone else's...my daughter has suggested I take a photo class at the local college...even on a regular camera I can't seem to get nice pics...I have tried everything...even the tripod my daughter gave me still doesn't seem to make my pics come out nice...I am open to suggestions if anyone out there has any.

Finally I just want to remind everyone that October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month...if you haven't scheduled an appointment for your mammography please do it today...thanks to everyone for stopping by...I'm off to have a stampin' good time and I hope despite this nasty weather everyone out there will have a stampin' good day.

I also love the colours Desi's used...but you could change the colours for a Christmas, Fall, or winter treat...Desi thank you again for sharing this very cute challenge...this is another favorite of mine.
If you would like to share this challenge and see what you could do with these cute little plastic boxes...please send me a self addressed, large postage paid envelope, or postage paid priority envelope, and I will send you some of these boxes for you to do a challenge also...I will send enough for you to share your challenge and some to give away as little treats to your favorite ghosts and goblins.

Easy Elegance Note Box

This was a lot of work...but well worth it...a chip wood box with a set of eight note cards.

I painted the box Burgundy...let it dry a little ...then lightly painted black paint over the Burgundy and wiped it off while it was still wet...when it dried I stamped the floral image onto white card stock...then I applied clear varnish onto the lid of the box.

I lined the inside of the box and the lid with this really nice Burgundy, gold, and green stripped paper.

The card on the left is a thank you card...the other is an all occasion card.

The card on the left is a birthday card...on the left is a thank you card.

The card on the left is an all occasion just a note card...on the right is another happy birthday card.

Both of these cards are all occasion cards.

This is the recipe:

Stamp sets: Easy Elegance, Terrific Tags, Too Terrific Tags, (retired from stampin' up)...Happy Birthday sentiment from MSE, and Just a Note sentiment from Endless Creations.

Card Stock and Papers: Assorted and scraps from Stampin' Up, ACMoore, and Michael's.

Inks: Always Artichoke.

Markers: Assorted colours.

Additional Accessories: snail adhesive, spritzer tool, single stitch true thyme ribbon(retired), chip wood box from Michael's and gold cording.

All supplies are from stampin' up unless otherwise noted.

Remember October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month...don't forget to schedule your mammogram.
