Carol's Country Bell Tree

This is the second gift I made for Carol...it is a wrought iron Christmas tree with bells attached to it and all I did was use my sizzix to cut out the Christmas stocking...light bulb...and ornament...again I used my DSP (I love this paper) Dashing...I attached them to the tree using red and green raffia.

I don't know if you can see on the light bulbs...I used the sakura clear glitter pens to give them a little sparkle.

Some of the ornaments are raised with additional layers of card stock...it gives them a nice two dimensional look....for example the stocking has an extra layer of card stock on the top...and the round ornaments have punched out circles.

This project was so much fun...and once I knew what I wanted to do...it did go pretty fast, especially once I decided to use the sizzix...I started out by cutting everything out by hand...but it was time consuming...this way was the better way to go...and Carol luv'd it.

The wrought iron tree was purchased at Michael's...raffia I purchased at Joanne's...and the rest of the supplies are from Stampin' up.
Thanks for stopping by...have a stampin' good day.

Carol's Christmas Gift

This is a very quick post...Carol and I are going to see if we can capture some early morning bargains...we want to make it to Connecticut by 7am...so we will hit the road at about 5:45am...since Carol won't be looking at the posts this morning I thought I'd share one of her quick gifts that I made. A little box with some stamps in it...I used my favorite DSP Dashing Papers to cover the outside of the box used my sizzix for the large circle and my scalloped punch for the wasabi green circle...then I used the upper case whimsical alphabets to stamp her initials in purely pomegranate...I topped off the box with a pretty bow.

Well that's it she will be here any second...have a great stampin' good day.

My Very First ATC...Merry

I love this DSP Dashing...and thought I would use it for my very first ATC...I am so excited and I am very pleased as to how it turned out...I will be doing a lot more of these ATC's...I'm luvin' them...they're only 3 1/2X 2 1/2 in size...making them easy to layer and complete quickly.

This is the little recipe:
Stamp Set: Perfect presentation.

Card Stock and Papers: Purely Pomegranate, Wild Wasabi, Real Red, and DSP Dashing.

Inks: Wild Wasabi.

Additional Supplies: Small and Large Tag Punches, Tag Corner Punch, Crop-a-dile Punch, Snail adhesive, Gold Cording (retired), Real Red and Glorious Green eyelets.

All supplies are from Stampin' Up.

I am going to make a couple more of these today to use as tags on my gifts...I also think my stampin' good time ladies group will enjoy making them so this might be a future class...especially since it could be changed for any occasion.

Thanks for taking the time to stop by today...the weather isn't feeling very wintry or christmasy with all the rain we are getting today...I want to do a little more stampin' so it is perfect for me to stay home.

Have a stampin' good day.

Hello everyone...I am back (no pun intended)...my back still hurts, but I am feeling much better and have been able to sit for short periods. DSP Dashing...and Purely Pomegranate for my front cover..the stripped portion of the cover is a pocket to keep my list handy after tearing them out of the pad...I am very happy how this project turned out and even happier to be back havin' a stampin' good time.

Another Snow Day

I was able to start a card this morning and even though I was feeling a little better was unable to sit long enough to finish it...so I'm giving myself another day to relax and heal...I took some pics out of my bedroom window of what is going on outside...everything here was shut down...the schools and a couple of the area malls even closed...Carol was glad to be home from school again today. This view is the driveway closest to the woods...the snow is coming down pretty heavy.

This view is my neighbours house up on the hill it is a beautiful home.

This view shows my car in the driveway.
Well I'm going back to bed...hopefully I will improve even more by tomorrow...have a stampin' good day and stay warm.

Carol's Holiday Tag Team

This is the cute card Carol made for our stampin' good time class yesterday...what an adorable little Santa...the set has lots of stamps in it that could be used to make several different versions of this card...I don't have this set...but I think I need to get it...LOL.

It is awful outside...we didn't get the snow that was expected, but we had icy rain most of the night ...I went out with Yukiko this morning to get my paper and I had to walk on the grass...the driveway was a sheet of ice and it would have been hazardous to my health if I had tried to navigate walking on it...LOL...so since I'm stuck in the house for most of the day guess what i plan to do...I need to come up with an idea for my Christmas cards...Carol is already working on hers...OH! the pressure...ok...so i better get to working on it and getting myself a cup of coffee...stay warm everyone.

Thanks for stopping by and have a stampin' good day.

Carol and I did the Holiday Craft Fair in Chester, NY and we had a great time...we had a fantastic space...even though it was a chilly space (near the front doors)...Even though it was their first Holiday Fair they did a fantastic job and should be commended for the effort put into it from the organizers to the maintenance crew who marked spaces for the vendors...Carol and I would do this fair again...also the money collected went for a great cause...the seniors all night graduation party.

Xmas At Rockerfeller Center

My daughter and son-in-law had dinner in Manhattan last night then went to Rockefeller Center to see the trees...aren't they beautiful.

I don't have any cards or projects made this morning so I thought I'd share these photos that my daughter just sent me.

This one with the ornaments are right outside her office building...these giant ornaments are my favorites...how did they get those ornaments to sit on top of the water like that?
It has started snowing again and I have to go and pack my car...Carol and I have a craft fair tomorrow and hopefully the snow will stop and it will be a good day...I've got to run...have a stampin' good day.

So Darn Cute

I am so proud of myself that I am still patting myself on the back...I know...I know...everyone is doing this set like this and this wasn't my idea...but it is sooooooo!!! darn cute...I love it. I saw this on several other sites, but didn't think I had the Patience to cut this up into these tiny sets...I was getting ready to return my dominoes to walmart because I thought they were to heavy...then lo and behold...look what I found in the Dollar shop. These tiny little wood blocks and I thought...ok I'll try it...and I Luv...Luv...Luv it.
A BIG thank you to whomever thought of this idea. Instead of having 3 stamps I now have 34...WOW...WOW...WOW...and a sentiment for every card I can think of...and a few cute decorative designs as well "So Many Sayings"...but so little time...who could ask for anything more...LOL...I can't wait to use them on my next card...so I am off to have a stampin' good time.

*BTW...Carol plans on keeping hers as a 3 pc. set...wait till she sees mine...I have a feeling that she will change her mind...LOL.

The weather is freezin' cold today and we have been having snow flurries and awful strong winds all morning...I finally had to put a big block of wood on my garbage can because it kept blowing off and I was afraid the next time it would go flying down the road...I live in a 100 year old farm house so you can imagine how the wind blows through all these old, creaky windows...but I love it. I will spare all of you another one of my snowy pictures...LOL. I think it's time for hot chocolate with a big pile of whipped cream on top...YUMMO!!!.

Thank you so much everyone for stopping by today...stay warm and have a stampin' good day.

Congratulations

I just came in...but have to head out again...the wind is awful today and it is extremely cold. I made this card in about fifteen minutes...really. I used my Stampin' Up Small Plaid maker Template (retired) to make the stripped background and that took up most of the time, since I had to get the lines straight.

The Quick recipe:

Stamp sets: Simple somethings and Warmest regards (both retired).

Card stock: Whisper white and assorted coloured scraps.

Inks: Basic black and Brilliant blue.

Coloured pencils: Assorted colours.

Additional supplies: snail adhesive and craft knife.

Thank you for stopping by...I have to head out into that cold and wind again...hope you all have a stampin' good day.

Merry, Merry, Merry...

The weather outside is frightful...and stampin' is sooooo....delightful...I have nowhere to go...so let it snow...let it snow...let it snow.

I am so sorry...that tune was stuck in my head ever since I went out for a walk with Yukiko this morning and I can't seem to get rid of it...I am so darn happy that I am off from work tonight that I have been singing all morning...I promise not to type it again...LOL...as you can see we are having quite a snow storm...it is coming a little lighter now and hopefully will turn to rain around noon the weather station reported...I am going to stay home and relax...get my tree up...and have a stampin' good time today.

I made these cute cards...and they were so much fun and so quick that I almost got carried...I had to say WHOA!!!...no more...LOL...as you can see I used the same supplies but did the cards several different ways...the background on all of them is a sentiment stamp...the hardest part was lining the sentiment up over and over to cover the card for the background.

This is the recipe:
Stamps: Katie & Co., Inkadinkado, and Studio G all purchased from Michael's.
Card stock: Whisper White, and assorted scrap pieces.
Inks: Garden Green and Spectrum pad Pumpkin patch.
Markers: Creamy Caramel and Mellow Moss.
Additional supplies: Real Red grosgrain ribbon, Snail adhesive, Score-it board, Bright green ribbon purchased at Michael's, Sakura light green and dark green glitter pens.
All supplies are from Stampin' Up unless otherwise noted.

Finally after this card I said no more...I could keep making these all day since they were so easy...this card I used a piece of red left over card stock, the same sentiment that was used for the background on the other cards is used here as a single image to go with the Christmas tree...inside I added white printer paper...I like to do that when I use coloured card stock.
Thanks for stopping by this cold morning...I hope you have a stampin' good day.

Gobble...Gobble Gift Tag

This was my project last night for our Totally Tags month...it was a Gobble...Gobble Tag and I attached it to a take out box...the take out box was filled with a sweet and salty snack...yummo.

This stamp set was a lot of fun to use and every time I look at it I do see the cute little turkey guy...I also did a card with it for the girls to see that it could also be used on a card as well as on a tag.

I filled the take out boxes with a mix of candy corn, harvest pumpkin mix, pretzels, corn chips, black liquorish, cheese curls, nacho chips, and jelly slices...yummo...a delicious snack for munching while having a stampin' good time...especially today since it's so cold I don't even want to go out...I will be happy to just stay home and stamp.

This is the recipe:

Stamp sets: Stampin' Ups Fall whimsy (retired) and Dot letter alphabets from Hero arts.

Card stock: Very vanilla.

Inks: Chocolate chip and Pumpkin patch spectrum pad.

Chalks: Assorted colours with Q-tips.

Additional accessories: Word window punch, Stampin' pastels, snail adhesive, scotch quick dry adhesive, autumn leaves yarn from Lion brand, googly eyes, pooch take out boxes purchased from Michael's, and sizzix jumbo tag die.
***************************
All supplies are from Stampin' Up unless otherwise noted.
***************************
This project could be changed to Christmas, valentines, or a birthday...whatever occasion you wanted these little take out boxes for...they are ready for the challenge...it is as big as your imaginations.
****************************
I will be enjoying my snack mix while I stamp...I have no intentions of going out in the cold today...Carol is braver than I am...She is out with her husband Jim looking for the perfect Christmas tree...anyone want to share some yummo snack mix and a hot cup of tea is welcome to come over and join me...we can have a stampin' good time.
***************************
Thanks for stopping by and sharing my project with me...I hope you enjoyed it as much as I enjoyed making it...have a stampin' good day...stay warm.
