Grand Old Flag

It's a Grand Old Flag...yes it is...I like how this turned out...but not too happy with the quality of these clear stamps...they are very soft and squishy...if you press too hard you end up with a mess...they also don't hold ink very well...and once you remove them off the clear sheet they have trouble sticking to the acrylic block...but when I saw this cute set I thought I would try it...not a fortune lost since they were only a $1.00...I got my money's worth I think...and a cute little card.

This is the recipe:
Stamp sets: studio G clear stamps from Michael's.
*****
Card stock: real red...whisper white...brilliant blue...and white printer paper purchased from staples.
*****
Inks: real red and brilliant blue.
*****
Additional supplies: snail adhesive...corner punch...score-it board...cuttle bug distressed stripes folder...stampin' dimensionals...and stickles crystal glitter glue.

On the inside of the card...I added white printer paper that I ran half way through my cuttle bug folder...then I used the corner punch to round off the corners.
*****
The tiny little sentiment in the lower right hand corner of the card says "red, white, blue Grand Old Flag"...every time I stamped this sentiment the clear rubber would squish...I finally was able to get a descent image.
*****
All supplies from Stampin' Up unless otherwise noted.

Thanks for stopping by this morning...hope everyone has a stampin' good day.

Thanks so much for stopping by this morning to share this quick project...it looks like today is going to be a hot...sticky one...try and stay cool...and have a stampin' good day.

Happy Graduation Day

I had some card stock left over from several classes and I wanted to see if I could use them up...this is just one of the cards I've come up with so far...to make the card more personal the colours can be changed around to the recipients school colours...School is almost over for the summer...I know the kids are glad...but are the parents???...LOL.

This is the recipe:
Stamp sets: Sketch an Event(retired)...and sentiment from studio G purchased at ACMoore.
*****
Card stock: garden green...river rock...naturals ivory...afternoon tea DSP...and cream printer paper from staples.
*****
Inks: garden green.
*****

*****
Inside the card is cream printer paper that I ran halfway through with the bloom dots folder...the printer paper gives a nice area to write your note without having to write on the card stock...it also gives the card a nice finished look...it is my favorite way to complete my cards.

All supplies from Stampin' Up unless otherwise noted.

Thanks for stopping by and sharing this project with me...try and stay cool...I have to go and get everything ready for my class tonight...have a stampin' good day.

Susan's Memories...#1

This is the album I made for a friend to give at a 40th birthday party...if you continue to read yesterday's post you will see that these pics fall in the correct order...the album had a lot more layouts...but these are just a few of my favorite ones...this was hours and hours worth of work...and I must say I think it was worth it...I'm very happy with the results.

This is the cover of the album...at the last minute I added the memories sentiment...and I love how it turned out...the album is off white.

On this page I did the layout with pics of the couple when they first met and was dating...again there is plenty of room for journaling.

This is the wedding page...lots of hearts...the "I Do" is a rubbon...and the bouquet of flowers on the top are from Paper Bliss floral embellishments purchased at ACMoore.

This is a great layout...here she is with her first baby...I added some baby stickers...and isn't that baby bottle a great spot to do some journaling...I love this page.

This is another wonderful page...it's her graduation pics...the graduation paper I picked up at ACMoore...and the graduation embellishments are from Sandylion Essentials collection...the summer sun card stock that was used for the stars really make the layout POP.

Don't you just love these two pages mon...LOL...the husbands took their ladies to Jamaica for Valentines Day this year...how romantic are these guys.
Here they are having some fun fooling around with the cardboard cutouts...the lettering says it all...JAMAICA WAS FUN MON...there is lots of room for journaling to remember this special trip.

The couple spending the Christmas holidays together last year with special friends...I made a pocket with a jumbo tag from my sizzix machine for the journaling.

This is the end of the first set of layouts...if you continue down you can see the rest of the album if you didn't get a chance to read it yesterday...now you see why I did it the way I did...LOL.
Thank you so much for sharing this project with me...hope you had fun...I had a great time putting it together...enjoy the beautiful weather...and have a great stampin' good day.

Susan's Memories...#2

I made this album as a request from a friend for a gift to be given at a 40th birthday party...I picked a few of the pages that were my favorites to share.
This post is the second of two posts...I will share the first post tomorrow...LOL...I know...I know...confusing....but if you read the post tomorrow it will end up being all in correct order.

One this page I stamped some mini pages to be used for journaling...the stamp set is: It's Academic (retired)...the journaling paper looks like little notebook paper.

On this page the journaling paper...I used the scalloped corner punch...real red and yoyo yellow card stock makes the photo's pop.

I think this is my fav page...I love the light house in the background...and I stamped the little light house from Stampin' Up On The Beach stamp set (retired)...I have a jumbo tag from my sizzix tag die for her to journal on...and the Vacation Memories are from KandCompany die cuts...again the real red card stock makes the light house really stand out.

This page has all me bling...I love the sparkles...sorry that it's a little blurry.

On this page I made a pocket to keep one of the invitations that was sent out...and I stamped the gift boxes from Stampin' Up's Sketch An Event (retired).

These last couple of pages I left blank so that she could add some of the party pics...this one would look great with just a pic of the birthday girl...I used my sizzix upper alphabet dies to cut out the "It's My Birthday" sentiment.

Another blank page to add some more pics of the party.

This is the last blank page...on the bottom is a square card with a cake in the corner...this could be used for journaling or to add a special pic.
Thanks for stopping by this morning...hope you had fun checking out a couple more of my fav scrapbook pages...have a great stampin' good day.

Patriotic July Calendar

I made this calendar for my craft room...it was so much fun and very quick to do...there was also very little stampin' involved...I will be making more of these...I was also thinking for a birthday these would be nice instead of a card...it's just a little something different.

This is the Patriotic recipe:
Stamp sets: Americana Collection and Brush Stroke Alphabet Numbers(both retired)...DJ Inkers July download.
*****
Card stock: whisper white.
*****
Inks: chocolate chip.
*****
Markers: assorted stampin' write markers.
*****
Additional supplies: sakura clear glitter pen...stickles yellow...and lavender glitter glue.

All supplies from Stampin' Up unless otherwise noted.

Thanks for stopping by and enjoying this quick and easy project with me...have a stampin' good day.

June Birthdays

These are the cards I made for the girls at work who have June birthdays...and I love how they turned out...other than the Tempting Turquoise all the rest of the card stock was scraps that I had on hand.

This is the recipe:
Stamps: So Many Sayings (retired).
*****
Card stocks: tempting turquoise...assorted scraps...and cream printer paper.
*****
Inks: only orange.
*****
Additional supplies: cuttle bug flower circle folder...score-it board...stampin' dimensionals...turquoise mini acrylic discs purchased from Michael's...crystal effects...snail adhesive...stampin' pastels(summer sun)...stickles icicle glitter glue...and decorative scallop corner punch.

All supplies are from Stampin' Up unless otherwise noted.

Even though all the cards look the same...there are a couple of slight differences...can you spot all of them?

One of the differences in the cards are...half of the cards has the "Make A Wish"sentiment on the right hand of the cards...and

The other half ...has them on the left hand side of the card...I don't know why...but I always have a hard time trying to make something the exact same...so this little touch gives the cards a slight difference...and at the same time makes me happy...LOL...even though it's such a small touch...along with the other small changes it makes the cards seem unique.

On the inside of the cards I've added cream printer paper...I used my decorative scallop corner punch on each of the corners of the cards...I now have a nice area to write my note...this works out great when you're using card stock that is very dark...or if you just want to give your card a nice finished look...I do this to all my cards whether or not the card stock is light or dark.
*****
Thanks so much for stopping by this morning...try and stay in between those raindrops today...I hope everyone has a stampin' good day.
