Happy Harvest Pick Up

I think my little Yukiko looks so cute behind the wheel of her pink truck...LOL...or this is how I envision her if she could drive...hehehehe...I love the pumpkin and orange plaid scraps that I used...they were from last year and I think that was the last of it...I will have to check the store and see if they're carrying it this year...can you believe summer is almost over and we are entering my most favorite time of the year...don't you just love the orange plaid ribbon.

This is the recipe:

Stamp set: loads of love.
*****
Card stock: melon mambo...assorted scraps...and white printer paper.
*****
Inks: melon mambo and pumpkin pie.
*****
Markers: assorted stampin' write...and Sakura clear star glitter pen.
*****
Punches: designer label.
*****
Additional supplies: fiskar cutter...score-it...snail...stampin' dimensionals...crystal effects...Flame dew drops from The Robins Nest...multi coloured ribbon from Joannes...and hobby blade.

All supplies from stampin' up unless otherwise noted.

I used the hobby knife to cut into the top of the truck so that I could put the pumpkins into it...then I placed a stampin' dimensional behind the pumpkins.

Thanks for dropping in this morning and sharing my whimsical card with me...enjoy the morning...and I hope you have a great stampin' good day.

Have an Ice day-5

This card is beautiful...but boy was it a lot of work...there was at least 4 layers of masking if I remember correctly...I love this card and would definitely make it again...even with all the work involved...it is the final card I have to share with you from the workshop I took with Sherry Szarnecki last week at my favorite stamp store, The Great American Stamp Store in Connecticut...we made five fun cards...and learned lots of techniques.

The stamps used for this card was from A Muse and Copic markers were used to colour them in...the light blue iridescent ribbon is gorgeous...some clear rhinestones were also added...and of course we used lots of sparkling glitter...I love the bling.

Thanks to Sherry for a great class...I enjoyed sharing the projects you taught us in the workshop and it was great fun...I had a wonderful time...I hope to take more classes with Sherry in the future...she is a wealth of knowledge...maybe I will even get the time to visit her little shop in Bridgeport, NY.

Thanks everyone for sharing Sherry's projects with me this week...enjoy your morning and I hope you all have a stampin' good day.

Merry Christmas-4

I am sharing another card that I made in Sherry's workshop last week at my favorite stamp store...The Great American Stamp Store in Connecticut...as I said yesterday, Carol and I affectionately refer to it as GASS...LOL...this was one of the most fun classes I've taken in a long time and I enjoyed every minute of it.

We used A Muse stamps and Copic markers...scallop punch...red dotted ribbon and I just love the diamond glitter we used for the snow.

Below is my version of the card that I made when I got home...I wasn't a hundred percent happy with it...I wish I had made the snow go across the entire card instead of just in front of the church...by using the vellum I was trying to get the effect of snow and ice....LOL...and the swirl in the background was the wind coming in...a big snow storm on the way...but I'm not feeling it...LOL...still I do like the stamp.

I love the red stripped ribbon I used...it is from May Arts and is the perfect ribbon to use on holiday projects...of course I had to add some diamond glitter to the project also.

Thanks so much to Sherry for a fun class...I will share the final card that we made tomorrow...and thanks to everyone for dropping in this morning...I hope you all have a stampin' good day.

Happy Holidays-3

This card was so quick to make...and it's another of the cards we made last week in Sherry's workshop at The Great American Stamp Store..affectionately known to Carol and I as GASS...LOL...it looks very vintage...this technique used a special sponge tool to give it an aged look.
*****
We used A Muse stamps and Copic Markers for this card...and scalloped scissors were used to make the opening at the bottom of the card.

Check out all the bling on the wreath...and I love the beautiful green dotted ribbon.

This was another fun card to make and I thank you for dropping in and sharing it with me...enjoy your morning...and I hope everyone has a stampin' good day.

Truck in the woods-2

This is the second card we made in the A Muse workshop with Sherry Czarnecki...and it's my absolute favorite...in fact I'm kicking myself for not buying this cute little stamp...it has so many possibilities...I love the look of the distressed edges and the dotted paper gives the look of a snow storm...doesn't the truck look likes it's driving through a pile of snow...we used a punch for this technique...the brown dotted ribbon has a slight shimmer to it.
*****
The stamps are from A Muse and we used Copic markers to colour our cards.
*****
This is the version I made of the card when I got home...I had stamped off the truck on a piece of scrap paper, but I didn't reverse the image...I ran my whisper white card stock through the cuttle bug snow dots folder.

The trees are a little different and I did them on several pieces of scraps...this was great since I love ideas that encourage me to use up some of my scraps.

I used my scalloped edge and 1/16" hand held punches to get the effect of the snow.
*****
I used a soft moss dotted ribbon on my card and it too had a slight shimmer to it...this is one of my favorite ribbons.

Behind the tree in the truck I used a stampin' dimensional to pop it off the card a little...my truck went out to pick up the tree in calmer weather since I didn't have any dotted paper to give a snow storm effect...LOL.

Here are the two cards side by side...each are different but I love the look of both of them...this was so much fun...thanks Sherry for the techniques you taught us on this card we loved them.
*****
Thanks everyone for dropping in and sharing this fun card with me...I will be back tomorrow to share another one...enjoy the beautiful morning...and I hope everyone has a stampin' good day.

Got Snow-1

I'm so excited to share the cards we made at the holiday workshop...we made five cards and i will be sharing them this week...This is the first card we made in the Holiday Workshop that was taught by Sherry Czarnecki from A Muse Stamps...she is also a Copic Instructor...it looks difficult, but once you get past the measuring and folding it wasn't too bad at all...it's a fun card...the blue dot paper makes it look like it's snowing on the mountains...when putting the squirrel, polar bear, and penguin on the card we put them just a little bit higher than the fold of the card...do you like how my squirrel is flying down the mountainside...hehehehe...he's a skiing pro.

The stamps are from A Muse...assorted Copic markers...diamond glitter...edge punch...and assorted coloured card stock...I loved using the Copic markers...I ended up getting some for myself...yippeee.

Thanks Sherry for the great tips on making this card...it was a lot of fun to make...thanks everyone for dropping in this morning and sharing this card with me...have a great morning...and a stampin' good day.

*****
This is the super quickie recipe:

What a Great Day

I must say this was the most fun workshop Carol and I have ever taken...to say we had a great time is putting it lightly...and our instructor Sherry Czarnecki from
A Muse Stamps was totally awesome...the workshop was organized and so much fun...we had such a great time...thank you Sherry...you are the best.
We made five awesome cards using A Muse stamps and Copic Markers...which I will be sharing with you this week.
*****
The cards we made will be great for using during the holiday season and for winter...a quick change of the sentiments and you can have birthday or a card for any occasion...these are the cards I will share with you this week.

After the workshop of course Carol and I had to get our shopping on...and these are some of the stamps I purchased...so many stamps at Great American...but never enough time...LOL.

I'm hooked on the Copics and finally bought my first set...I loved Carole's work over at StarDust Gems and Ribbon that I finally gave in and got myself a set of my very own copics...I also got the new Flower Soft in Polar White for my winter projects...I've never used it before so I will let you know what I think after I try it...I've seen lots of other people use it on there cards and projects and they love it...I also got a couple of Sakura clear glitter star pens...I use them a lot and can never have enough of them...I also got yards and yards of beautiful ribbons from May Arts...yummy...I was able to get a bottle of black dew drops and a bottle of Hyacinth which is a mix of purples.

So that was my damage for the day...LOL...but what fun I had causing the damage...after all the shopping was done...we headed out for lunch and to wind down a little...we then headed for the long ride home...we got caught in what seemed to me like a hurricane...the rain and wind was so heavy you couldn't see in front of you...but we made it safely home.

Thanks again Sherry for a wonderful class...thanks everyone for dropping in and sharing my adventures...I hope you have a great morning and a stampin' good day.
