5 X 7 Merry and Bright

I know your expecting to hear this...but I love how this card turned out...I really...really do...the splash of Gold Card Stock makes it look so elegant...this card is definitely in the running for my Christmas Cards this year...Shhhhh!!!!.

The Gold Cording is from Stamping Up...they sold it in Silver and Bronze also...I'm very cheap when it comes to using it since they don't sell it anymore...it's not thick...but it is very strong...a really nice quality cording...too bad it's not available anymore.

The white shimmery card stock that I used is also another retired S/U fav...I must downsize all my stuff...so I might as well use it...not doing any good sitting in the draw.

I don't know where I bought the package of Metallic Card Stock...it has been a part of my stash that I was afraid to use because it's so pretty...I really like the Gold...BTW...the package also had Silver...and Bronze...sounds like the Olympics...LOL.

 Here is the recipe:

Stamp sets: bright Christmas and delightful decorations.
*****
Card stock: shimmery white...cherry cobbler...gold metallic...white...and white printer paper.
*****
Ink: cherry cobbler and midnight muse.
*****
Markers: gelly roll clear glitter pen.
*****
Punches: large ornament...apothecary accents framelits...and Christmas ornament folder.
*****
Additional supplies: stampin' dimensionals...S/U gold cording...sticky strip...and mini glue dots...simply scored plate...big shot...and fiskars.

Merry Christmas It's a Challenge

I thought this was an unusual colour combo for a holiday card...but figured that I  would try my hand at it anyway...I liked the card...but not convinced that this would be the first choice of colours I'd use for my Christmas cards...lol...but I would sure use it for other occasions.

At the last minute I added this silver metallic ribbon...the card had looked very plain...much happier with it now.

I layered the Merry Christmas sentiment so that it would stand out.

This is the recipe:

Stamp set: teeny tiny wishes.
*****
Card stock: pretty in pink...whisper white...brushed silver...and white printer paper.
*****
Ink: pretty in pink.
*****
Punches: word window...key tag...2X3 Oval...rectangle dies...and ornament folder.
*****
Additional supplies: silver bells dew drops...pink mix discs...crystal effects...snail...stampin' dimensionals...sticky strip...big shot...simply scored...fiskar...and silver metallic ribbon.

Two More Fun Challenges

I had a great time making this card for the challenges...at first I didn't think I'd get into making a Christmas card...but once I started working on it...time flew by...the next thing I know...I was done...this was a great project...and I hope you all enjoy my card.

I layered the Poinsettias... the diamond stickles is suppose to make them look like they're wet from the early morning dew...I used the stampin' dimensionals behind the scalloped circles also...the only thing I'm not very pleased with was the bakers silver twine...it is very fragile and kept breaking on me.

This is such an adorable little stamp...I've had it for years....and love using it when I can.

This is the recipe:

Stamp set: merry, merry, merry,....bells and boughs.
*****
Card stock: whisper white...old olive...garden green...assorted scraps...and white printer paper.
*****
Ink: old olive and early espresso.
*****
Markers: stampin' write.
*****
Punches: corner...bitty banner framelits...3" scallop...scallop circle...and Christmas folder.
*****
Additional supplies: stampin' dimensionals...s/u mini glue dots and sticky strip...acrylic blocks...snail...diamond stickles...silver bells dew drops...silver bakers twine...score it...big shot...and fiskar cutter.
