1st Box Challenge...My Stuff

This is the pile of boxes Carol bought over the other day and challenged me to see what I could come up with..I loved the dark brown box from the Bombay company at the Galleria...it was perfect for what I had in mind.

I wanted to take a photo of the box before I started working, but I forgot and had already started to put my paper on it...but here it is before I went any further. I wrapped the box with the stripped paper from the Recollections collection from Stampin' Up.

The first side I printed up a calender and secured it to Garden Green card stock with Green Galore brads from Stampin' Up.

The second side of the box ...I made a little holder for pencils and pens...I used a green, brown, and white stripped ribbon stapled onto Garden Green card stock...the ribbon was purchased at Michael's.

The third side...I made into a message board with some leftover cork that I had...the little notes that are on the board used the It's a Date stamp set and Chocolate Chip ink pad...both from Stampin' Up.

In this photo I have the lid off...I used the Sizzix to cut out the letters for "Stuff" ...using Night of Navy and Always Artichoke card stock...and stamped "MY" using Whimsical Alphabet Lower Case letters...Garden Green, Always Artichoke, and Whisper White card stock was used for the tag...I used the Large and Small Rectangular Punches to punch them out...the eyelet is Glorious Green...all from Stampin' Up.

The fourth side of the box is a little post-it holder...I made a pocket using the stripped Recollections paper and a piece of the Garden Green card stock and just slipped the back portion of the post-it into it.

When your working the lid can be slipped onto the bottom of the box and you can put all your tools inside...It even holds a bottle of water for me to sip on.

When you are done working slip the lid back on and just leave it on your desk...with the calender, cork board and notepad it will still come in handy...It took a couple of hours to do...but was lots of fun.
