Happy Birthday Bird Cage

This morning I pulled out my bird cage die and made a quick card...I want to start using up some of my scraps...they've started to pile up on me again.

The sheer purple ribbon is absolutely gorgeous...I wish I had more of it...there was just enough for these two cards...But I'm trying to use up a lot of stuff I already have so no running to the stores to see if I can find more of it...No...No...No...I will use up what I have on hand...LOL!.

Here is the recipe:

Stamp set: teeny tiny wishes.

Card stock: lovely lilac...Kraft...assorted scraps...and cream printer paper.

Ink: early espresso.

*****

Punches: jewelry tag...1/16" hand held circle...word window...caged bird die...and poteeka  birds embossing folder.

Additional supplies: spring mini dew drops...gold and silver split jump rings...crystal effects...s/u mini glue dots....snail..s/u acrylic blocks...big shot...fiskar...scor-it...and deep purple sheer ribbon.

 Thanks everyone for stoppin' by this morning...almost froze my lips off this morning since it's so cold out there...I had to run back inside to get a scarf to wrap around my mouth...Brrrrrrrrrr!...I hope you like the bird cage cards...I had a great time making them...enjoy the cold...but beautiful weather today...you know what I always say...it's better than snow...lol...I hope you all have a stampin' good time...I'm off to meet Carol for some Presidential Retail Therapy....can't wait...fun!...fun!...fun!.

Hearts...Just for You

I told you that I was going to make more cards with this new Petite Curly Label Punch from the Sale-A-Bration Catty...if it's at all possible I think I'm in love with it...it's the cutest punch I've ever seen...it also works fantastically with the regular curly label punch...I bet you know where I'm going with this...I'll be making cards combining these two punches together very soon.

Can you see the fabulous sheet music folder I used....I did have a problem with it...for some reason it goes completely through the card stock...the very vanilla card stock I seem to have the best results with...it didn't go all the way through...but does leave a very...very deep embossing on the card stock...which was fine...I was still able to work with it...I will not waste...I just try and make it work...and I certainly did here. 

If you have the small s/u heart punch it works very well with the petite curly label punch...as I've said several times...it's now my absolutely favorite punch...you can see below how the small hearts fit inside the petite label...LUV...LUV...LUV it...yes I do...lol.

Additional supplies: Maraschino bakers twine...simply scored...snail...sticky strip...s/u mini glue dots...big shot...and fiskars.

What a gorgeous morning...when I walked the dogs it was cold and windy...but still beautiful out there...I will take the cold and wind to snow any day...thank you all for droppin' by this morning... Just a Note-3

These colors are so pretty together...and I love playing with the musical note theme...I was thrilled to find the musical note DSP to add to my collection...LOL!...these cards can have any sentiment added to it...so it would be great to make a bunch of these and have them ready to go as you need them.

I paired up the new Mini Petite Curly Label Punch from the Sale-A-Bration catty...I absolutely love this tiny punch...it is going to be added to a lot of my cards...my musical notes dies I will have to play with to see what I'm doing wrong...it only left a deep impression instead of cutting out the musical notes...but as you can see I was still able to work with it...if you know what I'm doing wrong please let me know...I ran it through the big shot several times and it just didn't cut out.

Love is in the air-2

I love...love...love these cards...one is a regular card the other is a card with a secret hidden behind the tag...where you can add that secret gift.

Here is my regular card...ready to mail...even with the layers its not heavy...I love the plaid ribbon...I bought that a long time ago and was afraid to use it because it's so pretty...but no more hoarding...I'm going to be using all my pretties in some way or another this year...LOL!

This card with the velum mini bag is perfect to add some cash or a gift card...you can also add small pieces of jewelry in it...it can all be hidden behind the hand stamped tag...too cute if I may say so...LOL!
