Happy Birthday Dear Friend

This is the card I made for Carol's birthday...isn't the little girl cute with her pumpkin in one hand and the delicious cuppy cake in the other...that's an easy decision as to which one to eat...LOL...I love these stick girls from American Art Stamps...I purchased all mine from the Great American Stamp Store in Connecticut...I love that store...she carries everything your heart desires...Carol and I share October birthdays and as I've said before it is the best time of the year.

This is the recipe:

Stamps: pumpkin patch girl...happy birthday sentiment from the Rubber Stamp Tapestry...and bitty basics (level one hostess stamp).

*****
Card stock: Kraft...whisper white...assorted scraps...and cream printer paper.
*****

Inks: chocolate chip...and riding hood red.

*****

Markers: stampin' write assortment.

*****

Additional supplies: snail adhesive...crystal effects...gold glimmer mist from the Tattered Angel...rounded tab punch...leaf assortment punches from EKSuccess...score-it board...fiskar cutter...maple leaf brad...red rhinestone...moss gingham ribbon...true thyme single stitch ribbon(retired)...sakura clear and gold star glitter pens.

All supplies from stampin' up unless otherwise noted.

This is one of the gifts I gave to Carol...I had to share it because this 3" scallop punch is almost as big as her head...LOL...it is the new line of JUMBO punches from EKSuccess...I got this one at the Great American Stamp Store...she carries several different jumbo styles...I wish that I had remembered to bring my camera with me...because it was funny when Carol held it up to her head...this punch is HUGE...Happy Birthday Carol...enjoy many years with your new punch...hehehe.

Doe...a deer...a female deer
Can you make out all the deer that are under the pear tree?...all the way over to the left are two really big ones that seem to be watching out while the others eat...a couple of them seem really small...so I'm assuming they are the babies...they are very beautiful...the pics didn't come out that great because of the screen over the kitchen window...but I think you can still make them out...this year there is so many of them...at least three times more than last year...the pic below shows all the smaller ones gathered together.

Thanks so much for stopping by this cold and rainy morning...to share my card with me...and taking a peek into my back yard...I'm glad that I did all my errands yesterday...I can stay home and have myself a relaxing day...it's now time for me to have a nice cup of hot tea.
