November Birthdays

This is the original sample card I made for my co-workers November birthdays...the completed one's very similar...there is only two or three very slight changes that are noticeable...and I made these changes because it would have been too time consuming to leave "as is"...and I wouldn't have been able to complete the cards this weekend...so I took the short cut...the cards still are very cute and I luv them...I am trying to improve my picture taking techniques so I did this pic by a window with lots of light...but it still came out dark...oh boy I may have to hire a photographer.

Here is the final cards I did for the girls...not too much difference, but it still looks just as nice as my sample copy...can you tell the differences...the shimmer from the glimmer mist really gives the card a beautiful, almost old look.

This is the recipe:
Stamp sets: Pumpkin Patch Stick Girl purchased from The Great American Stamp Store, Happy Birthday sentiment purchased from Rubber Stamp Tapestry, Fancy Flexible Phrases (retired), Sincere Salutations ("Birthday Wishes" stamped inside of the card).

Card Stock: Kraft and Plum purchased at Michael's...cream printer paper from staples and Whisper White.

Inks: Chocolate Chip, Pumpkin Pie, and Rose Red.

Markers: Summer Sun, Only Orange, Really Rust, Always Artichoke, Barely Banana, Old Olive, Rose Red, and Creamy Caramel.

Additional Supplies: Gold Glimmer Mist by Tattered Angel purchased from Eclectic Paperie, Leaf Punch from EK Success, Score-it Board, Snail Adhesive, and Rounded Punch Tab.

NOTE: The glimmer mist makes the markers run a little bit, but I like that look...you could spray your card stock first, wait for it to dry, then stamp and colour if you want a different look...and the shimmer is absolutely gorgeous...because the Kraft Paper was so dark...on the inside I added a piece of cream colour printer paper to stamp "Birthday Wishes" and write my personal message.

All supplies are from Stampin' Up unless otherwise noted.

These are my completed cards for my November co-workers...I was glad to have them completed this weekend it seems to me there was an awful lot of November birthdays...but they were a lot of fun to do and I enjoyed every minute of it.

Thank you for stopping by today...hope you enjoyed the project.

Have a stampin' good time.

HUGS
