It's Your Day

This was suppose to be a quick card...but again I had trouble with the words of the die not cutting out properly...I tried and tried and tried...and this was the best one I was able to get...I really love the embossing folder part of it...but may have to return them...it will be expensive just to keep the embossing folder...but I may just have to do that since it's not sold separately.

This card was made for one of the stampin' ladies and I gave it to her in class last night...her birthday was a week ago...but I had to wait to get my folders...I do love the look of the card...and the embossed candles are great...next to cuppy cakes...this is going to be a fav...LOL.

This is the recipe:

Stamps sets: NONE...Woooooo!!!...Hoooo!!!.

*****

Card stock: lovely lilac...assorted scraps...and white printer paper from Staples.
*****

Inks: Woooooo!!!...Hooooo!!!...absolutely NONE...LOL.
*****

Additional supplies: cuttle bug birthday wishes die and embossing folder...snail adhesive...ticket corner punch...fiskar cutter...score-it board...and stickles yellow glitter glue.
*****

Inside the card I have white printer paper.

Don't you just love that embossed look...I cut strips of scrap paper and put it over every other candle to make the embossed ones stand out even more...then I did the same with the flames...but added the stickles glitter glue to give some shine to each flame...super cool.
*****
Happy Birthday Heidi...and thank you so much for the yummy goodies you bought to class...those peanut butter cookies were delish...also a BIG thank you for the wonderful gifts you gave each of us...I know I will be using mine today in whatever project I plan on making...Happy Birthday and Thanks again.
*****
Thanks so much for stopping by this morning...our prayers are with everyone suffering through hurricane Ike...I hope everyone stays safe...have a stampin' good day.
