Vintage Happy Birthday

Sketch #116
This is the sketch Tamara had for us to play with this week...I like it.

JAI #14
Over at Just Add Ink we had to make something using a vintage theme...this was absolutely a lot of fun.

This is my take on the combined sketch and vintage theme.

This is the super easy recipe:

Card stock: s/u loop to loop rub-ons...cream...assorted scraps...and cream printer paper.
*****
Punches: perfectly paisley folder...horizontal slot...and sizzix oval.
*****
Additional supplies: s/u mini glue dots...sticky strip...4" battenburg lace doily...gold sheer, gold grosgrain, and gold satin edge ribbons...vintage buttons...big shot...score-it...and fiskar.

The plaid paper is some old wall paper that I had in my stash, it has some kind of heavy backing on it(I don't know what it is...maybe glue)...the buttons are a jar full that I purchased at a garage sale many years ago and had never used them...inside I have cream printer paper that I left plain...this card isn't for mailing it's very heavy.

I just love how this turned out and I think I will make a few more of them...I didn't even hand stamped anything, except for my stamp on the back of the card...the sentiment is a rub-on from a stampin' up kit.

Thanks so much for droppin' by this morning and sharing my vintage card...I'm going to have myself a cup of hot tea...it's raining and cold this morning...stop by and try the sketch or challenge...I had a great time with them...I hope everyone has a stampin' good day.

Great card! I like that your card uses a variety of things from different places - very vintage! Thanks for playing!
