Japan We Are Praying For You

A devastating earth quake and Tsunami hit Japan on Friday...my daughters in-laws are safe but many others are not...they are without fresh water...food...a safe roof over their heads...and electricity...lets keep them all in our prayers today and in the many difficult days to come.

In the Japanese culture the Crane or Tsuru is a symbol of honor and loyalty...it is the Bird of Happiness...today the tradition of folding 1000 cranes represents a form of healing and hope during challenging times...I wish the people of Japan good luck and long life...my heart and prayers go out to you all.

Check out the Japanese American National Museum website...they have such beautiful items.

So relieved that your dear ones are safe... yes, it is terrible what is happening in Japan... we all need to send out a silent prayer...

Thanks for sharing a little bit about Japan. We have a lot of them living in the complex with us and I do have some of them visiting me for play dates with their kids. They are such a lovely lot of people once you break the ice. Surprising how we all are the same within... no matter how different we seem to look on the surface.

I will try and remember to visit the museum website.

Hi Beverley

I am so glad to hear your family is safe.

It is just horrendous what has happend in Japan.

The whole worlds seems to be shouting back at us at the moment, telling us to reconsider the way in which we live our lives.

My heart goes out to all those caught up in these terrifying events.

Michelle :-)
