5X7 Relax and Renew

This card is very simple...I wanted to keep it that way since it seems to have so much going on with the DSP...but it's still an eye catcher.

I love the sketch this week...it was so much fun to play with...and easy too.

I used this ribbon a lot a long time ago...and I love it just as much now as I did back then...it's so soft and the colour is Soft Moss.

I love Cupcakes...so I will relax with a Nice cup of coffee and my cupcake...Yum!

Make A Wish

Isn't this ribbon simply gorgeous...I had just enough left over to make these two lovely cards...I really needed (LOL) to use this beautiful wrapping paper that wrapped a lovely gift for me from Japan...I told you that you'd be seeing lots of projects with it till I used it up...both the ribbon and the paper are my favorites.

I glued the paper onto the very vanilla card stock using my snail adhesive...I then ran it in the cupcakes folder through my big shot...so easy peasy...lol.

Both of the cards are mirror images of each other...it was fun doing that...you can see it in the photo...but the little dot of stickles on the candle glimmers in the light.

 Here is the quick recipe:

Stamp: A cupcake wish.
*****
Card stock: very vanilla...assorted scraps...and cream printer paper.
*****
Ink: early espresso.
*****
Markers stampin' write.
*****
Punches: cupcake folder.
*****
Additional supplies: gorgeous green linen ribbon...s/u mini glue dots...snail...big shot...fiskar...simply scored plate...and yellow stickles glitter glue.

Thanks so much for dropping by this chilly morning and sharing my card with me...it's cold here this morning...what a difference a day makes...enjoy the rest of your morning...and I hope you all have a stampin' good time.

Cupcake Butterfly Pocket and World Card Making Day

October is celebrating National Breast Cancer Awareness Month...lets do right by our girls.  :)

This is the second card that I made yesterday to celebrate World Card Making Day...I had so much fun using the glassine envie as a pocket...so I decided to use it in the second card too...and I absolutely love the results.

I love the look of the glassine envelope and the butterflies that seem to be floating in the air...isn't the ribbon just yummy...I've had it for a while just looking at it and admiring it...I thought it's time for me to use it now..."you can hoard"...I mean save things for just so long...lol...it's time to use that beautiful piece of ribbon...and now I'm glad I did.

A very easy recipe:

Stamps: cupcake with sprinkles.
*****
Card stock: whisper white...pretty in pink... and white printer paper.
*****
Ink: early espresso.
*****
Markers: stampin' write.
*****
Punches: embosslits beautiful wings and diamonds in the rough embossing folder.
*****
Additional supplies: big shot...snail...s/u mini glue dots...sticky strip...green/pink ribbon...score-it...fiskar...and small glassine envelopes.

The glassine envie works great as a gift card holder too...I was also able to fit cash in it...those mini chocolate bars...small pieces of jewelry...and wallet size pictures...so many great uses...I definitely will be making more projects and cards using them.

Thanks so much for droppin' by today...I hope you like my card as I much as I do...it's been a beautiful weekend...I'm sipping a cup of very hot tea right now...it's freezin' here this morning...but I won't complain...saving it for the snowy winter days...lol...as long as it's dry I will handle it...enjoy the rest of the weekend...have a beautiful day...and I hope you all have a stampin' good time.

Cupcake Thanks so Much-Chevron

This is the chevron that Carol and I got a mini lesson on at the New England Scrapbook Company when we took our road trip a couple of weeks ago...I tried my hand at it and made it to add onto a card...it worked wonderfully...my pics don't do the card justice...lousy pics today.

The cupcake looks so yummy with it's big chunks of chocolate chips...lol.

I'm glad that this is a nicer picture...and you get to see the chevron a lot better...it was so much fun to make and I like that I was able to adjust it to different sizes to match my projects...I will be adding this as a fabulous embellishment to a lot of my cards and layouts.

This is the easy recipe:

Stamp sets: crazy for cupcakes...sincere salutations...and teeny tiny wishes.
*****
Card stock: cream assorted scraps...and cream printer paper.
*****
Ink: tangerine tango and chocolate chip.
*****
Markers: sakura clear glitter pen.
*****
Punches: key tag.
*****
Additional supplies: amber glass beads...scor-tape...crystal effects...stampin' dimensionals...yellow stickles...fiskar...and scor-it.

Thanks so much for droppin' by this morning...another big thank you to Susan from the New England Scrapbook Company for sharing this technique with us...what a beautiful day it is...enjoy it...and I hope you all have a stampin' good time.

Joan's Gardens Challenge this week is a combined card and tag challenge...we had to make a card and a matching gift tag...this is what I came up with for the challenge.

Here is the easy recipe:
