I love making these Chevrons and adding them to my cards...I didn't add a sentiment since I'm not sure who I'll be sending this card to yet...I can always add the appropriate sentiment later.

*****
Card stock: whisper white...Bermuda bay...she said DSP pad from Teresa Collins...and white printer paper.
*****
Inks: lucky limeade...raspberry ripple...and island indigo.

Embossing Folder: textured impressions elegant lines.

Hello 2-Closed Chevrons-MIM #149 Challenge

I told you that I had so much fun doing those chevrons cards over the weekend that you might just be seeing more of them...well!...TaDa...I didn't waste any time...I love making these chevrons...I will have to keep making them...and making them till I can do it with my eyes closed...so be prepared to see plenty of chevrons in my projects...lol.

On these sets of cards I chose to have the chevrons closed...it certainly gives a different look from the cards I made over the weekend with the chevrons being open...I love this look also.

The tiny crystals really make the card pop...I love these mini crystal bling on my cards...I hope you can see that I ran the stripes folder over the card and the chevron.

 Here is the easy recipe:
Stamp set: friendship preserves.
*****
Card stock: very vanilla...cherry cobbler...midnight muse...patriotic DSP and cream printer paper.
*****
Ink: cherry cobbler...and midnight muse.
*****
Punches: window frame framlits and textured impressions stripes folder.
*****
Additional supplies: s/u mini glue dots...snail...crystal effects...stampin' dimensionals...simply scored plate...big shot...bone folder...mini round crystals and acrylic blocks.

Thanks so much for stoppin' by this morning...it's so hot already...I'm going to have a tall glass of ice tea...stay cool everyone...have a wonderful day...and I hope you all have a stampin' good time.

If you look closely you can see how I left the chevron opened on these cards...they lay down flat beautifully for mailing too...who wouldn't love to get a card like this in the mail...I know I'd be jumping up and down...lol.

I absolutely love the Pals Paper Arts Colour choices this week...my fav colour combo...just so darn Patriotic...LUV...LUV...LUV.

Can you see the tiny crystal bling that I added to the cards...they really made the cards pop even more.

*****
Ink: cherry cobbler and midnight muse.

Open Chevron Christmas 2012 in Japan

I have lots of scrappin' layouts to do...so the sooner I get started on them the better...this single layout is of my Grand Childrens visits to different trees in Japan...all the trees were so beautifully decorated...if you look closely at the layout...the top chevron is the opposite of the bottom chevron...this open chevron is perfect for double sided papers.

I had some beautiful double sided DSP and decided to use it for my layout...it worked great with the open chevron design...this layout was very easy to do...I took longer trying to decide what pics to use in the layout.

Here you can see the ornaments that I layered using the DSP and plain dark green card stock...using the ornaments die set...this is wonderful...no more cutting these differcult ornaments by hand...and chop!...chop!...I get it done quickly...I love the touch of the gold cording that works very well with the gold in the trees.

This is my easy recipe:

Card stock: Joys of the season trimmings DSP...and assorted scraps.
*****
Punches: framelits holiday ornaments die...and sizzix fun serif numbers die.
*****
Additional supplies: snail adhesive...S/U mini glue dots...BIG shot...and gold cording.

Wow!...Wee!...it is very windy and cold here this morning...Had my cup of coffee earlier...but also have had two cups of hot tea...Brrrrrr!...when it's windy outside...inside my house is even colder...I bought some pretty silk scarves over the holidays to wear in the house around my neck when it gets cold like this...gee it makes me feel fancy...LOL!...Thanks for stoppin' by this morning and looking at my layout...I need to do a few of the layouts a week to catch up on my scrappin'...have a great day everyone...stay warm...and I hope you all have a stampin' good time.

Happy Holidays-Chevron Style

OMG...I don't know where to begin with this Open Zig Zag or Open Chevron Card...this card has so much going on...I have an embossed background...I have an open zig zag...there's a dimensional bow with embossing...and I have a layered scalloped oval...all of which combines to make a fabulous card...Yeppers....there's lots going on with this card...but it looks absolutely fabulous...I love it...can't say who I'll send it too yet...just in case they check  the blog...lol!

Here it is with a front view...I did the open zig zag in reverse on the bottom from the top...you can see that the DSP on the top of the card is under the open zig zag...and on the bottom of the card...the DSP is on the top of the open zig zag...too cool...luv it!!!

Here is the open zig zag design or some people call it an open chevron...I think this is going to be my fav technique.

Here is the bow that has been embossed...it gives it beautiful dimension.

Here is the sentiment in the layered scallop ovals...then the ovals are layered on top of the open zig zag...Beautiful!

This is the easy recipe...yes it's easy:

Stamp set: warmest regards.
*****
Card stock: Trimmings DSP...cream...assorted scraps...and cream printer paper.
*****
Ink: gumball green.
*****
Punches: scalloped oval and holly ribbon folder.
*****
Additional supplies: big shot...snail...sticky strip...score-it...and fiskar cutter.

Thanks so much for stoppin' by this morning...I walked the dogs early this morning and it was freezin' out there...I wanted to come right back in...but they had other ideas...guess who one?...I need a cup of hot!...hot!...tea now...I hope you all enjoyed looking at this card as much as I enjoyed making it...this was more fun than fighting the crowds at the malls...enjoy the rest of the weekend...stay warm...and I hope you all have a stampin' good time.

Cupcake Thanks so Much-Chevron

This is the chevron that Carol and I got a mini lesson on at the New England Scrapbook Company when we took our road trip a couple of weeks ago...I tried my hand at it and made it to add onto a card...it worked wonderfully...my pics don't do the card justice...lousy pics today.

The cupcake looks so yummy with it's big chunks of chocolate chips...lol.

I'm glad that this is a nicer picture...and you get to see the chevron a lot better...it was so much fun to make and I like that I was able to adjust it to different sizes to match my projects...I will be adding this as a fabulous embellishment to a lot of my cards and layouts.

This is the easy recipe:

Stamp sets: crazy for cupcakes...sincere salutations...and teeny tiny wishes.
*****
Card stock: cream assorted scraps...and cream printer paper.
*****
Ink: tangerine tango and chocolate chip.
*****
Markers: sakura clear glitter pen.
*****
Punches: key tag.
*****
Additional supplies: amber glass beads...scor-tape...crystal effects...stampin' dimensionals...yellow stickles...fiskar...and scor-it.

Thanks so much for droppin' by this morning...another big thank you to Susan from the New England Scrapbook Company for sharing this technique with us...what a beautiful day it is...enjoy it...and I hope you all have a stampin' good time.
