2014-2015 Catty...Hair Accessories

Whoooooooooo...Hoooooooo...the new catty starts today...how exciting is that...once you look through the catalog...check out project life...and the new blendabilities markers...let me know if you need anything...I can't wait to start placing orders...I have just a couple more catty's available.

I was busy this morning for a couple of hours making some new hair accessories for my grand daughter...with her thick...wild hair...the small hair clips won't stay in her hair properly...so I made a few and she loves them...so I added hair accessories to my list of crafts...lol.

I love this Orange Floral one...perfect for the summer months...an orange flower with a ribbon bow in the center...I pinked the edges to stop any raveling...and then I added a button to finish it off.

This hair accessory is a little unusual...made from burlap...with some beads in the center.

Thanks for stoppin' by this morning...I hope everyone has a great day.

My Grand Daughter Rockin' the Hair Bows...

I've become quite addicted to making hair accessories for my grand daughter...with her hair so thick...it's difficult to find clips that will stay in her hair or hold it together.

I find them quick and easy...and enjoy looking for usual embellishments to add to them.

I think these orange and red ones are a fav of mine...and it looks like she loves them as well...lol.

The hair clips are the same colours...but different styles...I used different beads also...this way she can wear them together...or have two separate clips.

A big thank you to my grand daughter for modeling the hair clips for me...she did a great job Rockin' these Hair Clips...lol...and she's totally thrilled with herself too.

Thanks for droppin' by...have a great day.

Pink Leather Flowers

Looky...looky how I spent the early part of my morning...with a nice cup of hot coffee since it was freezin' in the house and raining outside...not that I'm complaining mind you...because I'm sure more hot and muggy days are just around the corner.

These were the last set in the sale basket at Joannes...but I'm glad I was able to snag these pretty pink ones...since they made such beautiful barrettes for My Beautiful Grand Daughter.

They're made out of soft pink leather...in the center is a mini pink doily...in the center of the doily is a dark purple stone in a brass bezel...at least it looks purple...sometimes I look at it...and it looks dark pink...lol...in the store I had thought it was black.

This is my favorite close up shot of the barrette...I really hope that I can find more of them...I definitely will be keeping my eyes peeled everytime I go into Joannes...lol!

Thanks so much for droppin' by this morning and sharin' my project with me...time for another cup of coffee...have a fabulous weekend everyone...and I hope you all have a stampin' good time.

Colourful Hair Accessories for My Grand Daughter

Thought I would close out the week with another set of quick hair accessories for my grand daughter... they're quick and easy...if you can tie a knot...you can make them...just tie them around the hair bands.

All you need are scraps of fabrics...or left over ribbons from other projects that you don't need...use your pinking scissors if you want to add a little pizzazz...or leave fabrics plain...

...and these hair bands...you can get plain black ones for about $1.00 or go for the more colourful thicker kind that are about $2.99 and higher...there's even some that won't get tangled in the hair if you don't mind spending a little bit more.

Thanks for stoppin' by this morning...have a safe and cool weekend...and I hope you all have a stampin' good time.

Fun Hair Accessories for my Grand Daughter

I think I've become a little addicted to making these easy hair accessories for My Beautiful Grand Daughter...her hair is so thick that regular children's hair accessories get lost in her hair...lol...just a few fun and playful ones.

I love the bright colours in this set.

This blue one isn't as bright...but still fun and pretty...and it has some pink and purple in it too.

I love the buttons in the center of each of them.

Well that's it from me this morning...I'm working on a card so I better get back to it...thanks for stoppin' by today...enjoy the rest of this beautiful day...and I hope you all have a stampin' good time.

Chic Green Hair Accessories

I used another day to make some more hair accessories for my Beautiful Grand Daughter this morning...the hair barrettes took me less than fifteen minutes to make...they will look fabulous in my grand daughters hair since they are nice and large.

The Lime Green one has a bow button added to the center...and it's so silky.

This Dark Green is also very silky...and has a flower button with a red dot added to the center.

Well that's it for me this morning...I had a fun time making these...but the time seemed so short...but there's always tomorrow to create something else...thanks for stoppin' by...have a great day...and I hope you all have a stampin' good time.

Chic and Shabby Hair Accessories

I didn't make any cards today...I wanted to do something that was very quick and fabulous at the same time...lol.

So I made some Hair Accessories for my Grand Daughter.

Her hair is so thick and wild...that regular children's barrettes get lost in her hair...I wanted big and bright...I think I nailed it.

The daintiness of the shades of purple in the flower is so pretty...can't wait to see it in my Grand Daughters hair...and I love the shimmer to it also...I have to have some bling in my projects.

These are made from a very heavy felt...and are stitched in the middle...I love the stitching.

I wish I could pick a favorite...but I love them all...they were so easy since most of the flowers were already pre-made...I just had to sew them or glue them onto the barrette.

Thanks for droppin' by this afternoon...it's time for me to make a cup of tea and relax...I hope you liked my project...have a great day...and a stampin' good time.

Open Chevron Christmas 2012 in Japan

I have lots of scrappin' layouts to do...so the sooner I get started on them the better...this single layout is of my Grand Childrens visits to different trees in Japan...all the trees were so beautifully decorated...if you look closely at the layout...the top chevron is the opposite of the bottom chevron...this open chevron is perfect for double sided papers.

I had some beautiful double sided DSP and decided to use it for my layout...it worked great with the open chevron design...this layout was very easy to do...I took longer trying to decide what pics to use in the layout.

Here you can see the ornaments that I layered using the DSP and plain dark green card stock...using the ornaments die set...this is wonderful...no more cutting these differcult ornaments by hand...and chop!...chop!...I get it done quickly...I love the touch of the gold cording that works very well with the gold in the trees.

This is my easy recipe:

Card stock: Joys of the season trimmings DSP...and assorted scraps.
*****
Punches: framelits holiday ornaments die...and sizzix fun serif numbers die.
*****
Additional supplies: snail adhesive...S/U mini glue dots...BIG shot...and gold cording.

Wow!...Wee!...it is very windy and cold here this morning...Had my cup of coffee earlier...but also have had two cups of hot tea...Brrrrrr!...when it's windy outside...inside my house is even colder...I bought some pretty silk scarves over the holidays to wear in the house around my neck when it gets cold like this...gee it makes me feel fancy...LOL!...Thanks for stoppin' by this morning and looking at my layout...I need to do a few of the layouts a week to catch up on my scrappin'...have a great day everyone...stay warm...and I hope you all have a stampin' good time.

A...is for Arima

October is National Breast Cancer Awareness Month...remember to schedule a mammogram or do a Self Breast Exam...early detection is key to surviving breast cancer.

This is the card I made for my Grand Daughter...similar but different from my Grandson's...it was also a quick and easy project and I enjoyed making it.

I love how this Fall card turned out...I could easily make more for other occasions such as a fall birthday or even a thank you card.

On the subway art I rubbed over the sentiments with my stampin' pastels to give it a little colour...it looks so pretty.

This is the device I used on the back of the pumpkin to make it wobble...it's called an Action Wobble.

Here is the recipe:

Card stock: rust...green galore...positively pink...pumpkin DSP...Autumn Subway Art by It Works for Bobbi...doodle pops and cream printer paper.
*****
Chalks: stampin' pastels.
*****
Punches: Lifestyles nesting dies...and sizzix uppercase alphabets.
*****
Additional supplies: big shot...fiskar...score-it...snail...and Action Wobblers for Motion.

The "A" is for My Adorable Arima.

Another wonderful day to end this beautiful weekend...I was able to get some great stampin' time in too...Thanks for taking the time out of your busy day to drop in and check out my card...enjoy the rest of the weekend...I hope you all have a fabulous day...and a stampin' good time.

Happy Birthday 1 and 3

My grand children had birthdays that they're celebrating in Japan this year...and these are the cards I made for them...they were easy and fun to make.

This pretty pink card is for my grand daughter...she turned one years old this year.

This blue card is the one I made for my grandson who turned one years old yesterday.

Both cards used lots of chipboard and stickers to give it all the dimension...I also did layering and used the stampin' dimensionals to raise everything up...I really love how both these cards turned out...there wasn't lots of stamping either...just the Happy Birthday was stamped in the blue and pink inks.

This is the fun and easy recipe:

Stamp set: warmest regards.
*****
Card stock: attic boutique DSP and side notes...Kraft...adhesive borders from KandCompany...journaling die-cuts...and white printed paper.
*****
Ink: pacific point and melon mambo.
*****
Punches: sizzix numbers and uppercase alphabet dies.
*****
Additional supplies: stampin' dimensionals...snail...s/u mini glue dots...big shot...fiskar...and score-it.

Thanks for stoppin' by this absolutely beautiful weekend...enjoy the rest of your morning...and I hope you all have a great weekend and a stampin' good time.

Happy Birthday to my Fabulous Grand Children...your Grammer misses you.
