As soon as I figure out how to work my new computer with my blog...I will start to post some of my work again...it took me forever just to put the pics of My Beautiful Grands up.

First week of school

The first week of school for my Beautiful Grands went off  very nicely...I love this pic where my grandson is helping his sister to get ready for her first day of school too.

I didn't get any projects finished today...but will have something done for tomorrow tho"...thanks for droppin' by this morning and sharing my grands with me...I hope you all have a great day despite the awful weather...and I sure hope you all have a stampin' good time.

Open Chevron Christmas 2012 in Japan

I have lots of scrappin' layouts to do...so the sooner I get started on them the better...this single layout is of my Grand Childrens visits to different trees in Japan...all the trees were so beautifully decorated...if you look closely at the layout...the top chevron is the opposite of the bottom chevron...this open chevron is perfect for double sided papers.

I had some beautiful double sided DSP and decided to use it for my layout...it worked great with the open chevron design...this layout was very easy to do...I took longer trying to decide what pics to use in the layout.

Here you can see the ornaments that I layered using the DSP and plain dark green card stock...using the ornaments die set...this is wonderful...no more cutting these differcult ornaments by hand...and chop!...chop!...I get it done quickly...I love the touch of the gold cording that works very well with the gold in the trees.

This is my easy recipe:

Card stock: Joys of the season trimmings DSP...and assorted scraps.

Punches: framelits holiday ornaments die...and sizzix fun serif numbers die.

Additional supplies: snail adhesive...S/U mini glue dots...BIG shot...and gold cording.

 Wow!...Wee!...it is very windy and cold here this morning...Had my cup of coffee earlier...but also have had two cups of hot tea...Brrrrrr!...when it's windy outside...inside my house is even colder...I bought some pretty silk scarves over the holidays to wear in the house around my neck when it gets cold like this...gee it makes me feel fancy...LOL!...Thanks for stoppin' by this morning and looking at my layout...I need to do a few of the layouts a week to catch up on my scrappin'...have a great day everyone...stay warm...and I hope you all have a stampin' good time.

Y...is for Yuzaki

October is National Breast Cancer Awareness Month...don't forget to schedule your annual mammogram...early detection is the key to surviving breast cancer.

This card isn't spooky as much as it is fun...in fact the only scary part of it is when you read the BOO!...lol...and it sure was fun to put together...I rubbed stampin' pastels over the white parts of the subway art to give it a bit of colour...it's not a lot...just enough I think...and I love it.

 The Y is for My little Yuzaki...I think he will love this Halloweenie card...I know that I do...lol.

This is the little device I used on the back of the pumpkin to give it some movement...they're Action Wobbles.

Happy Labour Day and My Beautiful Grands

My Beautiful Grands think they have the best sibling in the world.

Gambare Nippon

These diapers that my grand children are wearing say "Gambare Nippon"  is cheering on Japan for the London Olympics...(or my daughter thought it meant Tohoku disaster area)...I guess we all know who my grandchildren will be routing for in the Olympics...lol...they looks so adorable lying there...I just wanna hug them.

My grand daughters hair is long and thick...and they both look so big since they left here in February...so!...so! cute...and I miss them.

Happy Birthday 1 and 3

 My grand children had birthdays that they're celebrating in Japan this year...and these are the cards I made for them...they were easy and fun to make.

This pretty pink card is for my grand daughter...she turned one years old this year.

This blue card is the one I made for my grandson who turned one years old yesterday.

Both cards used lots of chipboard and stickers to give it all the dimension...I also did layering and used the stampin' dimensionals to raise everything up...I really love how both these cards turned out...there wasn't lots of stamping either...just the Happy Birthday was stamped in the blue and pink inks.

My Grandson is 3 Today

My Grandson turned 3 today in Japan...he looks so happy and what a big boy he has gotten to be since I saw him back in February.

My Grand Children Scrapbook Page

These are my inspiration pages I did last week to get the ladies started on their scrap pages...we did two 12X12 scrapbook pages...and a bonus page. 

 The pages have my grand children...daughter...their grand father from Japan...and of course moi...lol...can't leave myself out.

I used my punches for the hearts...and butterflies...then the butterflies were run through the big shot with a embossing folder...I also used dimensional chipboard stickers.

 I used my punches to make the boxes for my journaling...which I will do at a later date.

I used my punches for the flowers...and the ladybugs are dimensional plastic and foam stickers. 

I also cut strips of DSP to add to the background of my pages...and the pics were framed with leftover card scraps.

  The pages were also sprayed with Frosty Nights and Mistletoe Glimmer Sprays...I love the glimmer sprays from The Tattered Angels...gives the pages shimmery bling.

My grand kids are looking much better...and that makes me feel better too...Yuzaki seems to be enjoying his food...just like his Grammer does...lol...and Arima is smiling away...they aren't a hundred percent...but my daughter says they are eating and much happier than last weekend...thank goodness for that.

My Grandson is Feeling Better

Luckily this morning my grandson looks a little better and is giving his Grammer the thumbs up even though he's still under the weather...yesterday he was breaking my heart and I couldn't do anything about it...I feel better myself...knowing that at least he feels a little better.
My grand-daughter is happy and doing good...she was wondering what all the fuss was about when I got excited to talk to her on skype...she just kept staring at the camera...lol...and she must have been thinking...who is this crazy woman...lol.

Awwwwwwww...my Grandson is Sick

Skyped with my daughter and my grandson is so sick...you can see it in his eyes...he barely wanted to talk...but he was drinking the soup she made him...then he said bye bye to me and went to sleep...aawwwwwwww...I could cry...so sad when the little ones are under the weather.

I had to share this pic...I can only imagine what was going through my grandsons' mind...lol..."Come on Arima...reach...you can do it...let me help you...push the red button and the elevator stops and a nice voice comes on asking...what's your emergency...hurray up before mom and dad turn around"...lol...my grandson is just too funny...look how his eyes are focused on reaching the button...and Arima is just having a wonderful time with it.

My Grandchildren

Carol and I spent the day shopping today and I almost forgot to post...I wanted to share one of my favorite photo's of my grandson and grand-daughter looking out the window of their apartment in Japan...my daughter is working hard but they are still finding time to take the grand kiddies on a wonderful journey every day...I sure do miss them...and can't wait for the year or so to be over.

Playing Together

I seem to have lost my stampin' mojo for a couple of days...it seems that all I can concentrate on is the pain in my knee...hopefully it will go away and I can get back to stampin'...in the meanwhile another cutie pic of the grandchildren.

The look on my Arima's face is priceless..."What the heck does my brother have on my head"???...LOL.
