Happy Birthday Box

This is Carol's February sketch...and what a nice job she did on it...I love the colours...and it brings spring a little closer for us...LOL...all that needs to be done now is to decide what kind of goodies she wants to add to it...yummo.
*****
This is Carol's February recipe:
Stamp sets: checkerboard back ground...pocketfull of posies...warmest regards...all are retired sets.
*****
Card stock: apricot appeal...cameo coral...lavender lace...and whisper white.
*****
Inks: pumpkin pie...basic brown...and certainly celery.
*****
Markers: assorted colours stampin' write.
*****
Punches: ticket corner.
*****
Additional supplies: sticky stripe...snail adhesive...fiskar cutter...purple brads...white string...and score-it-board.
*****
All supplies are from stampin' up unless otherwise noted.

On the back of her box Carol added brads to close the box...wonderful idea...I'm sorry I didn't think of that for mine...LOL...and a thin white string is wrapped around the brads to keep the box closed.

Below On the side of her box Carol chose to leave it straight instead of indenting it...this is a great idea...it gives the box a nice clean straight edge.

Carol this was a job well done...thank you for sharing it with us...I absolutely love it...can you believe it's snowing right now...it wasn't expected today...it was suppose to go up to 50 degrees...will have to wait and see what happens later...thanks everyone for stopping by and checking out Carol's February sketch...have a warm and stampin' good day.
