Orient

I was so surprised when I found this stamp set in my stash...I had totally forgotten about it...and was thrilled to see it had the folded paper crane stamp...an important symbol for the Japanese people...so this card is in tribute for the strength they've shown the world in this trying time...and months later these incredible people are still showing how strong they are.

Inside I added the folded paper cranes around the boarder of the printer paper...I love how this looks.

This is my fun recipe:

Stamp set: gifts from the Orient(retired so many years ago from stampin' up...I don't even remember).
*****
Card stock: assorted scraps and cream printer paper.
*****
Ink: chocolate chip...and real red.
*****
Pencils: s/u pure colour assortment.
*****
Punches: bloom dots folder...1/16" hand held circle...crop-a-dile...and Bigz tasteful trim die.
*****
Additional supplies: s/u mini glue dots...sticky strip...snail...blue ribbon...maraschino bakers twine...red brad...red eyelet...big shot and extended cutting pad...score-it...and fiskars cutter.

I had some extra scrap paper so I added it to the back of the card to jazz it up a little bit more...this was a fav card stock of mine and I finally used the last of it.

These wonderful paper cranes are for the people of Japan and around the world that are still coping with mother natures destructiveness...remember to say a prayer for them today...thanks for droppin' by and sharing my card...are you all as happy as I am that the heat wave finally broke today...it will be hot later...but the humidity will be way down...enjoy the beautiful day...and I hope you all have a stampin' good time.
