Nothing in the Caterpillar

This morning I started off doing a case of this card from the Sale-A-Brations Catty...but my creativity took over and I ended up with something a little different...But I love it...inside is blank, because I'm not sure if I will use as a Birthday or Get Well card...either will be Fabulous.

I absolutely love the subtleness of the stamped background.

Of course the spritzer tool is my favorite look on the cards.

Here is the easy recipe:

Stamp set: Butterflies Basics.
*****
Card stock: Bermuda Bay...pink flamingo and Bali Breeze DSP's...whisper white...and white printer paper.
*****
Inks: Bermuda Bay...crisp cantaloupe...and pistachio pudding.
*****
Markers: stampin' write.
*****
Punches: Butterflies Thinlets...bitty butterfly...and decorative label.
*****
Additional Supplies: acrylic blocks...spritzer tool...snail...s/u mini glue dots...sticky strip...stampin' dimensionals...sherbet designer buttons...spring dew mini dew drops...crystal effects...and melon rind green bakers twine.

Thanks so much for stopping by this afternoon...I had a great time making my cards...I hope you all have A Stampin' Good Time.

Miss You

OMG...does anyone remember Bow Bear???...I haven't used her in forever...back in the day...she was a very popular set...Bow Bear has been retired for quite a long time...I'm so happy to have been able to play with her in this challenge...what a Fabulous Set.

I was able to slit near the paw so that I could put the umbrella in it.

If you look closely...you will be able to see that I used my stampin' dimensionals to lift the bear off the card stock a little... you cam even see a little shadow behind her head.

I had a great time playing with my Copics this morning...I think that I'm going to be pulling them out more often.

I absolutely love these Dew Drops...the colour is called Grapes and Leaves...slightly different shades of purples and greens...I used a very light set of the green here.

Here is the recipe:

Stamp set: Bow Bear.
*****
Card stock: Nenah White...very vanilla...daffodil delight...lovely lilac...and cream printer paper.
*****
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black and lovely lilac.
*****
Punches: honey comb folder and small nesting octogons.
*****
Additional supplies: stampin' dimensionals...S/U mini glue dots...stickles icicle glitter glue...lilac and lemondrop bakers twine...big shot...simply scored plate...fiskar...crystal effects...grapes and leaves dew drops.

Liberty

After a grueling 12 hour shift...it was a fight for me to stay awake and finish this card...I knew that I had to KISS it (keep it simple silly) if I was going to get it done...I chose to do America's colours of red...white...and blue ...I love it...and I'm so happy I did a decent job of it...even though I was dead tired.

I was glad to have the Airmail bakers twine to add to my card...the twine really helped it to pop and make it look as good as it does...but I also love the one crystal on the mini tags...lol.

I hope you can see the detail in this pic...I used the spritzer tool with my cherry cobbler and brilliant blue stampin' write markers...I tried not to use too much since I had already sprayed it with my Sheer Sparkle Shimmer Spritz...this glitter spray is so glittery...care in using it on inks and printouts...it can cause smearing if you use too much...I'm running low on this glitter...I need to take a long road trip if I need to get more...LOL.

This is the Quick recipe:
Stamp: Power Poppy Digi.
*****
Card stock: cherry cobbler...whisper white...brilliant blue...and white printer paper.
*****
Markers stampin' write.
*****
Punches: jewelry tag...nested round square dies...top note die...and distressed stripes folder.
*****
Additional supplies: spritzer tool...crystal effects...sticky strip...air mail bakers twine...clear round crystal...stampin' dimensionals...simply scored plate...big shot...sheer sparkle shimmer spritz...and fiskar cutter.

Hug

I wish I had made several of these cards at the same time...they would make great get well cards or just to cheer someone up...they were so quick...easy...and I Kept it Simple Silly (KISS)...I think I'll make a few in different colours.

The Pacific Point ribbon is so pretty...I had a bow...but decided to keep the ribbon as a stripe instead...this way I didn't have to stop and make any bows...just Keeping it Simple.

I did make circles to add to this card...but ended up adding the flowers instead...happy that I did...like the look a lot better...and I love my embossing folders...they give cards a great look without much work.

Another of my favorite stamps...that I just don't seem to use often enough.

 Here is the Simple Recipe:

Stamps: Great Big Hug.
*****
Card stock: rose red...cool Caribbean...blush blossom...and white printer paper.

*****
Additional supplies: pacific point striped grosgrain ribbon...red and blue flower brads...stampin' dimensionals...sticky strip...simply scored plate...big shot...and fiskar cutter.

    5X7 Relax and Renew

This card is very simple...I wanted to keep it that way since it seems to have so much going on with the DSP...but it's still an eye catcher.

I love the sketch this week...it was so much fun to play with...and easy too.

I used this ribbon a lot a long time ago...and I love it just as much now as I did back then...it's so soft and the colour is Soft Moss.

    Star Spangled Day is Kawaii

    I know I say this all the time...but I can't help it...I love this card...and to top it off it's also Kawaii...LOL.

The stamp set I used...Star Spangled Day has been retired from Stampin' Up for many years...but it is one of my many favorites...and I'm always happy when I have a reason to use it.

If you look closely at the bottom of the card...I did a Zig Zag or Chevron design using my embossing folder...love the little watermelon...Totally Kawaii.

Adding the stars was a last minute touch...I had scraps left over and just couldn't throw them out since I could still get them to fit in the star punch...how many times have you hesitated at throwing out a scrap of Paper...especially DSP...LOL...I do all the time.

    This is the easy recipe:

    Stamp set: star spangled day.
    *****
    Card stock: whisper white...bashful blue...island indigo...blush blossom...real red...and white printer paper.
    *****
    Ink: island indigo.
    *****
    Markers: stampin' write.
    *****
