A Smashing Good Time Pizza Partaaaay!-3

We had another fun Smashin' Good Time Pizza Partaaay! last weekend...my smashin' ladies did beautiful work on their pages...and I have a couple of them to share with you this morning.

Martha's first page features a blinged out pocketbook...she loves bags...and a good friend found this sticker that had her name on it...you go Martha...love the bling.

 Martha was very productive this weekend...here is her second page that she completed...she said she has a little tweaking to do on it...but the major part of the page is complete...beautiful work.

 Carol is leaving on a jet plan...and she knew that she was coming back home again to smash this...Carol couldn't find any airplane stickers or chipboard...so she made her plane free hand...yes she did!...and did a very good job too...she saved her tickets in a pocket held together with a fancy twine covered paperclip...yes Miss Carol...you go too!...great job.

 Below is the goodies I had for the ladies to take home...they can add it to the present project or save it for future ones...they are very large Scribble Frames for a picture or to journal on...they are bright and colourful.

This is what the Scribble Frames look like once they have been cut out...they're a very nice size...and can't wait to use mine.

Happy Memorial Day and A Smashing Good Time-2

This was our second Smash Class...and we all had such a fun time...we overate with pizza and pasta salad...we did a couple of  our smashing pages...and shared some awesome ideas.

Martha's Smash journal was a smash with us...an absolutely gorgeous page...and she was right...there was goodness inside that pocket...which had fabric on it and some machine stitching.

Martha's second Smash page was just as gorgeous...and yes Martha...I think it was sweet.

Darn it...I forgot to take pics of the fabulous DSP Martha bought to class to share with us...they were absolutely mouth watering...I had such a hard time picking which one I wanted to play with...I was so eager to play...I cut it and didn't take pics...when I'm finished with my page I will share it then...so for now...you will have to take another peek of the work area...lol...with some YUMMY chocolates of course.

Carol did a fabulous smash pocket with some beautiful mementos in it...and her "I am" page was beautiful with it's funny story.

Carol's second smash page has another story...and I love how she has the story on the page hanging out of the journal...beautiful Carol.

After class I had a little goodie package of Bling for the ladies to take home to add to their finished pages...some manilla tags...a couple of journaling frames...a roll of plaid ribbon...and some blue bling.

Thank you ladies for a great Saturday afternoon...it was a wonderful way to spend the day with friends...and still get a project on the way to completion...a BIG thank you to Martha for bringing chocolates...and the fabulous DSP to share with us...we loved it...thank you all for taking the time out of your day to stop by...I hope you all have a great Memorial Day and A Stampin' Good time.

My Doodle Red Folio Smash Journal

I choose the Doodle Red Folio for my smash journal project for the year...the cover is embossed with rectangle type squares...with a red fabric down the spine of the journal.

I started out by doing the first cover page...so far "2012 has been a smashing good year"...and I hope it continues to be one.

I think I got a little carried away with my first page...but 'eh this is a smash journal...your allowed to smash as much stuff into it as you can right!...lol.

I used a lot of chipboard stickers some had a little bling on them which I love...and of course I had to add some adorable cupcake stickers to the mix...I used my sizzix numbers to do the year 2012...and the start of each sentiment are chipboard letters...which I also used as little flower pots for my flowers arrangements...lol.

Thanks so much for stoppin' by and checking out my smash journal...I hope in the next few months I'll be able to share the progress of what the ladies and I do with our smash journals...enjoy the rest of the morning...it's windy here and has been all night...the dogs keep barking every time the wind bangs the garbage cans or patio furniture around...it's also very cold this morning...but as I've said a million times...give me cold and wind...it's a lot better than ice and snow... I hope you all have a smashin' good day...and a stampin' good time.

Yvonne's Retro Blue Smash Folio Journal

This is Yvonne's Smash Journal...she choose the Retro Blue one since blue is her absolutely fav colour...check out the cool embossing on her cover...I love it.

Yvonne is a master at Calligraphy...so I can't wait to see the style she adds to her smash journal...she made her first page so that we will all know this journal is all about Yvonne...you go girl!

Carol's Doodle Red Smash Folio Journal

Today I have Carol's Smash Journal to show you...she picked the Doodle Red Folio with the black and white band that she added to it...she plans on stuffing and smashing it full of memories this year.

The doodle red folio has rectangle boxes embossed on the cover.

Carol didn't start with her cover page...she dove right into an actual page...Carol marches to a different drummer...but don't we all...and the couple of pages she did turned out fabulous...you can see her here with her daughter and
grand-daughter...below a couple of cute reminders to her as why she loves being a mom...but how special it is to be a grandma.

Our First Smash Class Lunch

This was our first smash class...and I have everything ready to go as soon as the ladies arrive...our journals to work on...and our food to eat...yum!

We lunched on green salad and pasta salad...

...and of course we had pepperoni pizza which was yummy.

When we were done with lunch...it was on to work with our journals...this was an absolutely wonderful way to spend a weekend day...a great hobby...wonderful friends...and yummy food...also a BIG thank you to Yvonne for bringing the sweet treats.

...and last but not least...these are the canvas goodie bags I had for the ladies to take home with more Smash goodies to add into their journals...I thought it was going to be cold and wintery...so I had gotten these cute bags with an embroidered snowflake and the letter "W"...for Winter...

....there was more smash goodies...stickers...another glue pen...envelopes...glassine bags...shipping tags...large and small extra pockets...brads...sticky notes...whew...too much to mention...but the ladies have lots to keep them busy...

I think the best of the goodie bag...was this fabulous stamp that I found and had to get for us...love it!..it say's " to my friend".

Martha's Pretty in Pink First Smash Journal Pages

We had our first Smash class yesterday afternoon and what a fun time we had eating and brainstorming...none of us had ever smashed before...but we got our first set of pages done and left with tons of ideas that we got from each other...this morning I'm sharing Martha's pages that she has started for her journal.

Martha picked this smash journal...Pretty in Pink to work with...the colour doesn't look pink here but it is...lol...the front also has an embossed cover...Martha had a floral and leaf design embossed on hers...each journal was different depending on the colour.

The pages will get more added to it since she is starting it for her upcoming trip to Mexico...so this page will really get smashed when she returns home...I'm already excited to see what she will smash in there...the colours of Santa Fe are bright and earthy at the same time...and this journal will be a treasure to share and keep for a lifetime.

Our Smash Journal Class
