Creative License Pocket Book

This project was a lot of fun to alter and I wish that I had bought a couple more of these cute boxes...they would make great little gifts...and they are very easy to work with.

I got all my supplies and papers together.

I measured and cut out the shape of the box...including the sides.

I then ran my papers and card stock through my Xyron machine.

Then I used my crop-a-dile to punch holes in the top of the box...if it wasn't for this great tool...I would never have punched so easily through this box...I then used brads to hold the ribbon to the inside of the box.

This is the recipe:
Card Stock and Papers: Creative Scrappin' Scrap booking kit.

Additional Accessories: Wild Wasabi Double Stitched Ribbon, Sizzix Circle Die, Scallop Circle Punch, and green brads purchased at Michael's...the little file box was purchased at Target in the stationary section.

All supplies are from Stampin' Up...unless otherwise noted.

Thank you for stopping by and looking at my quick project today...the weather is very cool and windy...it has been raining on and off...glad to be home stampin'.
Have a stampin' good day...HUGS.

Jar Candle Ghosts

This was a very fun project to do...and it was quick...I had this wonderful smelling jar candle on my desk ( Honeydew Melon) and I thought if I altered it...not only would I have a nice smelling candle...it would also be something pretty to look at...I used a lot of scrap pieces from my scrap stash.

I measured and cut out my ghosts...four of them fit around this candle jar...you could use less for a smaller jar...or more for those jumbo candle jars...stamped my cat...and bats...used Going Grey to colour my ghosts...so the Whisper White paper wasn't so bright.

This is the recipe:

Stamp Sets: Whimsical Alphabets Upper and Lower Cases, Ghosts sentiment purchased at Michael's, and Bats from Hero Arts.

Card Stock: Only Orange, Whisper White, Basic Black, and Elegant Eggplant.

Chalks: assorted colours

Additional Accessories: Black /White, Orange/White gingham ribbons, Purple ribbon...Googly eyes all purchased at Michael's.

My jar candle is a 22 ounce jar and it used four ghosts...The pattern for the ghost came from the Paper Crafting Magazine...supplies from Stampin' Up unless otherwise noted.

I Hope that everyone has as much fun with this project as I did...let me know what you did with your Jar Candle...thanks for stopping by.

Have a stampin' good day.

What a Pain In The...

What a pain in the neck this project was...don't think I will ever make more of these...LOL...I altered an empty cheese box.

I stripped off the the layers of paper...then painted the box white.

Afterwards I painted it a bright orange and waited for it to dry...now this is where the headache started...paint should have dried within half an hour...but it didn't...I waited....did house work...came back and still very...very tacky...two hours later...four hours later still not dry...what the heck is going on I thought...called Carol to complain...she told me to turn the fan on it...couple of hours later I called her back...guess what...still not dry...she's laughing...I am not...finally with the day almost over and a waste...I decide to cover it with card stock.

This is what I finally got done...pumpkins behind a fence...the two circles are glued together... then cut a piece of scrap card stock and glue them onto it so that they can stand...Whew!!!...this project was a full time job.
This is the recipe:
Stamp Set: Fun Faces (retired from stampin' up) and Three Mini Pumpkins from Penny Black.
Card Stock: Only Orange, Old Olive, green galore, and Garden green.
Inks: Basic Black and Only Orange.
Markers: Only Orange, and Old Olive.
Additional Accessories: Limeade green wire purchased at Michael's, and Felt Leaf Stickers purchased at Targets....all other supplies are from Stampin' Up.
I never find out why the paint isn't dried...even though I covered it with the card stock you can still feel the paint is a little tacky...Carol is still having herself a good laugh...I am hungry and tired...didn't even eat lunch...I was consumed with this project...off to have myself a late lunch...early dinner...then I am going to treat myself to some Chocolate Moose Paw Ice Cream from Turkey Hill...I deserve it.
Have a stampin' good evening...and thanks for stopping by.

Happy Fall Y'all

I discovered another stamp set that I had and have never used...and I love it too...LOL...I did stamp this cute fella' in basic black...then I used a technique that requires you to use a white crayon and colour in areas that you don't want the ink to take hold of...that is why you see those areas that look like a white shadow...the real card looks better than this one online...then all you have to do is use a dauber to sponge the card in the colours of your choice...I used three colours...but you can use as many as you like...then use a tissue to wipe off the card...Viola'...that's it...a quick and easy card.
This is the recipe:
Stamp Set: Happy Fall Y'all (retired).
Card Stock: Whisper White and Really Rust.
Inks: Basic Black, Really Rust, Ruby red, and More Mustard.
Markers: Old Olive.
Additional Accessories: White Crayon.
Thanks everyone for stopping by today...have a stampin' good evening.

Friendly Ghost Trio Card

This ghostly trio is more friendly than scary...I bought this card as a three piece kit...all I had to do was colour and put together.

The kit came with a piece of black card stock...olive green corrugated card stock and a white piece of card stock with the ghost image stamped on it...I coloured it with Stampin' Up Chalks...and I like the way this quickie card turned out...purchased at a card swap for only $1.50...what a great bargain.

In Everything...

I have always loved this set...but never use it enough...so I made a thank you card then decided to make another two sets...but left them plain... to give away as prizes at our Birthday Bash next month...Carol and I are both Libras and our birthday's are two days apart...YEEEHHHH...can't wait...this set is so flexible and comes with five different sentiments...I used "In Everything Give Thanks"...but unfortunately this set has been retired.

This is the recipe for all cards:
Stamp Set: Happy Harmony (retired).

Card Stock: Marigold Morning (retired), Cool Caribbean (retired), Very Vanilla, Summer Sun, Sage Shadow, Taken With Teal, Chocolate Chip.

Inks: Marigold Morning (retired) and Taken With Teal.

Markers: Marigold Morning, Taken With Teal, Old Olive.

Additional Accessories: Sheer Gold and Blue Ribbon from Michael's, string (I pulled it through the Cool Caribbean Ink), natural colour photo corners, and Paper Crimper by Fiskars.

The little strip of paper that is part of the background was run through my crimper and gives the card a nice dimensional look.

These are two of the sets we will probably give away at our Birthday Bash...I had fun making these cards and I am very happy to use a set that I love and haven't been able to use in a long time.

Thanks for stopping by..have a stampin' good day.

A Haunting We Will go

I have never been a big fan of Halloween...I don't decorate A La' Martha Stewart...no spooky cats or skeletons in my closets...no boiling cauldrons of eyes, fingers or other limbs bubbling away...no cobwebs with spiders hidden in the corners...no Halloween parties...and because I live in the middle of no where...no trick or treater's...but I do put out a few plain pumpkins...gearing up toward the Fall/Thanksgiving season...I thought that I didn't have any Halloween stamps, but I found a few in my stash while looking for my fall stamps...and decided I would make a few projects/cards using them...and I love how these first couple turned out.

.. I did this Hauntingly cute pumpkin card and matching mini notebook...can you see the slight hint of glitter from the sakura glitter pen???...I Luv them.
