I love...love...love my new goodies that arrived on Friday...I spent yesterday putting them together so that I can start my projects/cards with them...I have a set of colours that I ordered and am waiting for those to arrive this week...I can't wait to see what they look like for real and combine them with one of these sets...Yaahooooooooo!!!!!

I was thinking tags for this set...but as crafters we know that we never know what we will do till the inspiration lightening strikes us...and the fact that the set has coordinating punches...well can I just say FABULOUS!!!...lol.

Another set with a coordinating punch is sure to be a new love of mine...excited to see what I'm going to be creating with this fabulous set.

Now to my cards that I made this morning...I've been up since 2am...and was chatting with my 3am Buddy Club Members...we are always up by 3am for some unknown reason...lol.

One of my favs is this Honey Comb folder...the hexagon shape had me at hellooooo....LOL!

 Here is the recipe:

Smile

I have become addicted to hexagons and I love how this card turned out...the printed paper that I used is from Japan...it was used to wrap a gift that I received from family over there...when I saw it...I knew that it wasn't going to end up in the garbage...the paper was heavy and absolutely perfect for card making...you will be seeing quite a few cards using it...I'm going to use up every little scrap...lol.

The bakers twine made the perfect bow for this card...as you can see lots of purples were used.

Don't you love how the small hexie dies fit into the embossed background honeycomb folder...I know I do.

This is my easy recipe:

Stamp: I thought of you.
*****
Card stock: Printed gift wrap paper...very vanilla...assorted scraps...and cream printer paper.
*****
Ink: lovely lilac.
*****
Punches: honeycomb folder...nesting hexagon and happy hexagon dies.
*****
Additional supplies: lilac bakers twine...snail...s/u mini glue dots...big shot...and simply scored plate.

I hear there's going to be bad weather later on today...hope to be back home before it comes in...thanks everyone for stoppin' by this morning...heading out to walk the dogs and get my newspaper...their both sitting here staring at me...lol...stay safe and cool...enjoy the rest of the day...and I hope you all have a stampin' good time.

Love

I love...Love...Love my Hexagon folder...and I'm very happy as to how these cards turned out...Yep...I love them.

This doesn't have to be a Valentine card...it could be use for a birthday or a just because card...it would certainly cheer up the recipient.

I love bakers twine...it gives cards and projects just that little something when you don't want to overdo and make the card too heavy...especially if it has to be mailed.

This is the recipe:

Stamp set: tiny tags.
*****
Card stock: whisper white...pool party...basic gray...assorted scraps...and white printer paper.
*****
Ink: primrose petals.
*****
Punches: embosslits fashionable hearts...jewelry tag...1/16" hand held circle...and honeycomb folder.
*****
Additional supplies: Caribbean bakers twine...s/u mini glue dots...acrylic blocks...snail...big shot...fiskar...and score it.

I am absolutely thrilled about my card...I will have to make some more of these...I love them...lol...Thanks so much for stoppin' by this morning...I hope you like these cards as much as I do...be careful outside this morning...
it's not only cold but it's very icy and slippery too...I can't wait for the warm weather to come...stay warm everyone...have a great day...and I hope you all have a stampin' good time.

Love is in the Air-1

These little collection of cards are so much fun to make...this one I particularly like because right now I'm into Hexagons...after I cut the shapes and glued them onto the card...I ran the front of the card through my Big Shot to give it that multiple layered look...so you have the hexagons that were cut out...and the embossed hexagons in the background.

I had to add some bling to my little jewelry tag...this really helped the card to pop.

 This is the recipe:

Stamp set: teeny tiny wishes.
*****
Card stock: very vanilla...eggplant envy...lavender lace...pink passion...sweet talk postage stamp DSP...cream printer paper.
*****
Ink: eggplant envy.
*****
Punches: hand held 1/16" circle...jewelry tag...honeycomb folder...and the happy hexagon plate.
*****
Additional supplies: peppermint candy bakers twine...pink and clear crystals...s/u mini glue dots...snail...stampin' dimensionals...big shot...fiskar...and score-it.

I shoveled out this morning...and put the ingredients for a hearty soup in the crock pot while I was out shoveling and cleaning of the car...by lunch time it will be ready...I think this is going to be a kinda soup and sammy day...lol...thanks everyone for droppin' by this morning...I hope everyone made it through the storm safe and sound...
have a great day...and I hope you all have a stampin' good time.

Lovey Dovey Hexagons

I made some quick and easy cards last night while watching my Walking Dead Marathon...I was up till 2:30 this morning...only to fall asleep for the last hour...I wanted to kick myself for missing that last hour that I missed last season...and to top it off...I'm exhausted now and cold too...lol...even though I fell asleep...I was having nightmares and kept waking up...I have to stop watching this show...or else I'll be Walking Dead.

Anyway...here is the first set of cards that I had fun making...love it when a quick and easy project is also fun...no stampin' was done on these sets of cards.

This beautiful look is from an embossed folder.

On this card I use an open hexagon...love this look very much.

This is my easy and fun recipe:

Card stock: raspberry ripple...primrose petal...pretty in pink...whisper white...sweet talk postage stamp DSP...and white printer paper.
*****
Ink: raspberry ripple and basic black.
*****
Punches: hexagon die plate and honeycomb embossing folder.
*****
Additional supplies: Sticky strip...snail...mini glue dots...stampin' dimensionals...pink ribbon...big shot...fiskar...and score-it.

Thanks for stoppin' in this cold morning...I know it's early...but I'm going to grab a cup of tea and get under my comforters for a well needed nap...enjoy the rest of your morning...and I hope that everyone has a stampin' good time.
