Happy Mother's Day...and A PPA 202 Colour Challenge

Mother's Day is just around the corner...and I thought this card would be perfect...and I just love the double sentiment on the front.

Originally one of the sentiments was suppose to go inside the card...but I like writing my little notes and thought it would take up too much room.

The stamp set I used was all holidays...Kraft...Bermuda bay...and real red cardstock...early espresso ink...butterfly...heart to heart punches...impressions stripes folder...primary dew drops...crystal effects...snail...mini glue dots...and maraschino bakers twine.

Thanks for dropping by this morning...also please stop by the Pals Paper Arts challenge...check out some of the fabulous work and inspirations the design team and other entries have shared with us...they are totally fabulous.

Black and White Thank You

Good morning everyone...it's freezing here this morning...Brrrrrr...aren't we suppose to be approaching the summer season...maybe I better enjoy it...and be very careful for what I wish for...lol!.
These would make fabulous thank you cards for a wedding to send to friends and family don't you think...they're so easy that you could make a stack of them if you needed to.

I did add a dash of red...but you could add any colour that works...such as coordinating it with the colours of the wedding party...how cool would that be.

I love that I added the tiny crystal bling to the cards...they give the cards a little POW!...lol.

This is the easy recipe:

Stamp set: Wonderful words.
*****
Card stock: basic black...whisper white...wedding DSP...and white printer paper.
*****
Punches: 1" and ! 1/4" square...and argyle folder.
*****
Additional supplies: charcoal bakers twine...clear crystals...s/u mini glue dots...big shot...crystal effects...fiskar cutter...and simply scored plate.

Thanks everyone for stopping by this morning and sharing these wonderful cards with me...I had a fun time making them...I love quick and easy cards...I hope you all have a great day...it's time for a cup of hot tea for me...and a stampin' good time for all of you.

Happiness

I'm sooooo! excited...I made a fabulous set of cards this morning...luv!...luv!...luv! this little collection.

  These cards are perfect for
weddings...engagements...or bridal showers.

The card with the wedding ring and no sentiment would make perfect thank you cards for the gifts received...I added a crystal bling to the center of the ring...it really gave it some sparkle...just like a real ring.

This card with the flower was so plain until I added the crystal bling to the center with the pearls...the back ground was embossed with my flower frenzy folder...the heart card below has plain silver dot brads added to it.

On this card...I added some crystal bling around the sentiment and two silver heart brads...fabulous idea if I may say so myself...lol...the same could be done with the other cards...but I wanted a set of different ones...I can always add them later if I wish too.

Here is my recipe:

Stamp set: heard from the heart.
*****
Card stock: whisper white...basic black...wedding DSP stack...wedding chipboard stickers...and white printer paper.
*****
Ink: basic black.
*****
Punches: flower frenzy folder.
*****
Additional supplies:silver mini brads...clear crystals...s/u mini glue dots...stampin' dimensionals...sticky strip...snail...crystal effects...and charcoal bakers twine.

Thank you all so much for dropping by this morning and sharing this collection of cards with me...I certainly had a great time making them...and they were very quick and easy...I always keep an eye open for pretty stickers or chip board that I can embellish to make them pop...enjoy this fabulous morning...and great day...make sure to have yourselves a stampin' good time.

Love

I love...Love...Love my Hexagon folder...and I'm very happy as to how these cards turned out...Yep...I love them.

This doesn't have to be a Valentine card...it could be use for a birthday or a just because card...it would certainly cheer up the recipient.

I love bakers twine...it gives cards and projects just that little something when you don't want to overdo and make the card too heavy...especially if it has to be mailed.

This is the recipe:

Stamp set: tiny tags.
*****
Card stock: whisper white...pool party...basic gray...assorted scraps...and white printer paper.
*****
Ink: primrose petals.

Punches: embosslits fashionable hearts...jewelry tag...1/16" hand held circle...and honeycomb folder.
*****
Additional supplies: Caribbean bakers twine...s/u mini glue dots...acrylic blocks...snail...big shot...fiskar...and score it.

I am absolutely thrilled about my card...I will have to make some more of these...I love them...lol...Thanks so much for stoppin' by this morning...I hope you like these cards as much as I do...be careful outside this morning...

Love is in the Air-1

These little collection of cards are so much fun to make...this one I particularly like because right now I'm into Hexagons...after I cut the shapes and glued them onto the card...I ran the front of the card through my Big Shot to give it that multiple layered look...so you have the hexagons that were cut out...and the embossed hexagons in the background.

I had to add some bling to my little jewelry tag...this really helped the card to pop.

 This is the recipe:

Stamp set: teeny tiny wishes.
*****
Card stock: very vanilla...eggplant envy...lavender lace...pink passion...sweet talk postage stamp DSP...cream printer paper.
*****
Ink: eggplant envy.
*****
Punches: hand held 1/16" circle...jewelry tag...honeycomb folder...and the happy hexagon plate.
*****
Additional supplies: peppermint candy bakers twine...pink and clear crystals...s/u mini glue dots...snail...stampin' dimensionals...big shot...fiskar...and score-it.

I shoveled out this morning...and put the ingredients for a hearty soup in the crock pot while I was out shoveling and cleaning of the car...by lunch time it will be ready...I think this is going to be a kinda soup and sammy day...lol...thanks everyone for droppin' by this morning...I hope everyone made it through the storm safe and sound...
have a great day...and I hope you all have a stampin' good time.

Lovey Dovey Hexagons

I made some quick and easy cards last night while watching my Walking Dead Marathon...I was up till 2:30 this morning...only to fall asleep for the last hour...I wanted to kick myself for missing that last hour that I missed last season...and to top it off...I'm exhausted now and cold too...lol...even though I fell asleep...I was having nightmares and kept waking up...I have to stop watching this show...or else I'll be Walking Dead.

Anyway...here is the first set of cards that I had fun making...love it when a quick and easy project is also fun...no stampin' was done on these sets of cards.

This beautiful look is from an embossed folder.

On this card I use an open hexagon...love this look very much.

This is my easy and fun recipe:

Card stock: raspberry ripple...primrose petal...pretty in pink...whisper white...sweet talk postage stamp DSP...and white printer paper.
*****
Ink: raspberry ripple and basic black.
*****
Punches: hexagon die plate and honeycomb embossing folder.
*****
Additional supplies: Sticky strip...snail...mini glue dots...stampin' dimensionals...pink ribbon...big shot...fiskar...and score-it.

Thanks for stoppin' in this cold morning...I know it's early...but I'm going to grab a cup of tea and get under my comforters for a well needed nap...enjoy the rest of your morning...and I hope that everyone has a stampin' good time.

As clear as Black and White

Carol is starting out this week for us with these two adorable wedding cards...I love the fact that they're done in Black and White...it kind of reminds me of the bride in her gown and the groom in a tux.

This card is for the newlyweds...don't you just love the embossed back ground that is white embossing powder on black card stock...I also did a double take when I looked at the sentiment...because it looked as if the black card stock had used a different punch...but it was the same modern label punch but she used a white gel pen for the dots...it plays tricks on the eyes...and a very nice touch.

This card is welcome to wedded bliss...I love the glitter pen that Carol used to colour in the champagne glasses...and she layered the black ribbon onto the white ribbon...very pretty.

I hope you all enjoyed these cards...a BIG thanks to Carol for starting off the week right for us...enjoy the rest of the weekend and I hope you all have a stampin' good time.

Just for You Pocket Card

Wonderful!...Wonderful!...Wonderful!...I like this pocket card much better...YEAH!!!...LOL!...I absolutely hated the one I made yesterday...lol...this is a great card to stash some cash or a gift card...I would love either...wouldn't you.

This card pocket looks like a comfy pair of denim jeans...at least I think so...don't you just love the crystal like bling at the top of the pocket...I sure do.

The plaid heart gives the pocket a bit of a country look...and the stitching around the pocket was kept to one layer this time...and I love the fact that I finally used my Janome Sewing Machine...will be doing some more of my projects using it.

 Here is the wonderful recipe:

Stamp set: teeny weeny wishes.
*****
Card stock: ballet blue...whisper white...assorted scraps...white printer paper...and glitter rubon.
*****
Ink: ballet blue.
*****
Punches: 1/16" hand held circle...word window...key tag...Swiss dots and distressed stripes embossing folders.
*****
Additional supplies: Janome sewing machine...clear mini discs...crystal effects...stampin' dimensionals...snail...sticky strip...metallic red brads...big shot...fiskar...score-it board and bone folder.

This morning is a cold and windy one...but give me this to snow any day...right now I have a pot of my favorite winter meal on the stove for lunch...I'm going to have soup and a sandwich...maybe a melted cheese sandwich...YUM!...I hope you all enjoyed my Pocket Card...thanks so much for stoppin' by this morning...have a fabulous weekend...Yeppers TGIF...and a stampin' good time.

Happy Anniversary

Yeah!!!...Carol has made some more cards to share with us this morning...as you can see they're anniversary cards...but I'm also think Valentines Day...they're adorable.

The background stamp reminds me of beautiful lace...with all the hearts...love birds and flowing ribbons in it...I also see a couple of keys...like in key to my heart.

Carol used real red and pink passion for her card stock and inks...the image is stamped on whisper white...she also added a white organdy ribbon to each card...inside she used white printer paper to add a sentiment...either hand written or stamped.

Thanks Carol for sharing these cards with us this morning...I love them...thanks to all of you for droppin' by today and checking out Carol's cards with me...stay warm because the temperature is going to drop later on today...and I hope everyone has a stampin' good time.

Happy Mother's Day Easel Card

Here is the fabulous card we made in class a couple of weeks ago...I absolutely adore this Tim Holtz Die and will definitely be making more cards in the next couple of weeks with it...my good buddy Carol loaned me her die to make a project...and I just had to have my own...I think it maybe retired because I had a had time finding it...but after driving all over kingdom come...I got one in my hot little hands...Yaaaaaaaah!!!

The card we made was a Easel card...it looks difficult but was quite easy to make and can be made into a multitude of sizes...I love the mixed bunch stamp set so the flowers were added to this project also...the second bird was cut in half so that it would fir into the cage...of course you can do a single bird and it would look just as terrific too...great card project since almost no cutting...everything is cut out with the punches.

Inside there wasn't lots of room so I stamped Happy Mothers Day...and punch it out with my scallop oval...perfect if I can say so myself...Oooops!...I just did...lol.

This is the very easy recipe:

Stamp sets: teeny tiny wishes and mixed bunch.
*****
Card stock: pear pizzazz...rich razzleberry...very vanilla...assorted scraps and cream printer paper.
*****
Inks: pear pizzazz....rich razzleberry...tempting turquoise...and more mustard.
*****
Pen: sakura black glaze.
*****
Punches: 1" and 3/4" circle...1'16" hand held circle...scallop border...blossom...two step bird...jewelry tag...caged bird die...and Poteeka birds folder.
*****
Additional supplies: pink dew drops...snail...stampin dimensionals...glue dots...crystal effects...gold jewelry split jump ring...BIG shot...fiskar and score-it.

Below you can see that I added the split jump ring to the top of the bird cage...it makes the cage looks like it's ready to hang from a hook or tree...it's funny how a change in lighting changes the card...you would think that pic is of a different card...but I later realized that I hadn't taken a pic of the split jump ring...I was too lazy to go back downstairs so I took the pic upstairs...what a big difference...the cage looks like a red/brown...the birds look pink instead of red...and the embossed card background looks gold instead of green.

Thanks so much for stoppin' by this morning and checking out our fabulous class project...we had a great time making it...a big thank you to my stampin' ladies for a great evening as usual...and as I said before you will be seeing more of them as I love this die...enjoy the rest of this beautiful weather we are having this weekend...I hope you are having some of the same...have fun this morning...and I hope you all have a stampin' good time.

Happy Mother's Day From Dennis and Me

Another Mothers Day without our beautiful mom...but she lives in our hearts forever.

My brother and I went down to the cemetery this morning to bring mom some flowers...she always loved pretty flowers..and ribbons.

We  cleaned and polished up her plaque...wow it almost looks brand new again...my brother did an excellent  job...he was asking me for a toothbrush to get into the cracks...as if I had one in my back pocket...lol...mom would have loved all the fuss though...lol.

All the rain had left it pretty dirty and muddy...all cleaned up and nice now.

Not real flowers...some beautiful silks...she would love them any way.

We did a nice job...a big pat on the back of my brother and me.

Thanks for stoppin' by this beautiful morning...A happy mothers day to all  of you...and Happy Mothers day mom...we love and miss you every day.
