Yvonne's Memory Album

This is Yvonne's scrap book she did in class of her grand daughter.
On the cover she has her grand daughters name in Pixie Pink and the back ground is in Bravo Burgundy...a very nice colour combination.

Yvonne started out her page with her newborn grand daughters hospital pic.

Having a great time with her favorite grandma.

Just a few fun poses for grandma's special girl.

The birthday girls party shared with family and friends.

The first day of school...but she was ready to go.

Yvonne did a great job with her first album...she incorporated fun pics and happy times that was shared with friends and family...I think Arianna is going to love this memory album and treasured it for years to come...she will always know how special she was to her grandma...Excellent work Yvonne.

Tina's Memory Album

Tina did a graduation album...she used stickers...letters cut out with the xyron machine...chip board goodies...and lots of patterned papers and card stocks...most of the colours used was old olive and mellow moss since green was the school colours.
This album is a gift....so shhhhhhhhhh...no telling.

The page starts off with friends together and Tina did something a little different by adding a photo layout on the inside cover.

This photo layout shows all the classmates together...the paper used for the background was from ACMoore.

More photo layouts of friends and classmates together.
The second page shows the proud family together.

The last page of the album shows the family and friends gathered together to celebrate a great accomplishment.

CONGRATULATIONS TO THE GRADUATE...YEHHHH!!!!

Last of July's Birthday's

This is the last two cards for my July birthday co-workers...Look under the post for Sunday, July 8th and ...you will see how I got the chef to look like he's wearing a cute two piece outfit...it's easier than it looks....LOL.

With these cards I went with Brocade Blue, Night of Navy, and Old Olive card stock...Chocolate Chip and Old Olive ink pads were used to stamp the image and words....I used Blush Blossom and Creamy Caramel markers...I also used my Notched Punch on the corners of the card stock and then I wrapped yarn around the card...I like the colours and the way these cards turned out.
Hope everyone stays cool today.

Blossoms Abound

I love Lilacs...and this set is just perfect for a friendship card. The stamp set used for this card is Blossoms Abound...I stamped the Lilac blossoms on whisper white card stock with Lovely Lilac and Pink Passion ink...I then added my leaves and stems using Mellow Moss ink...and Always Artichoke marker to outline portions of the leaves...at the bottom of the card I stamped "my friend" in Lovely Lilac then went over it in Regal Rose marker...I then used my Spritzer tool with the Always Artichoke marker to splatter the card...I then mounted it on Garden Green card stock...I used my notched punch on the corners of the Garden Green card stock...then used pink embroidery floss around the card...then the green card stock was mounted to the white card stock to make my finished card.

It took me a couple of hours to make this card today...I kept running back and forth doing other things...but if I had just sat down and worked on it exclusively it would have taken me a lots less time.
All supplies used is from Stampin' Up...embroidery floss from ACMoore.

I hope everyone has a great evening.

Carols Book Marker

Carol bought over this cute little book marker that she made this morning...this is a nice door prize to give our stampin' ladies.
Card stock used was tempting Turquoise and Orchid Opulence...A flower punch was used to punch out the flowers...and Yo Yo Yellow eyelets are used in the center of the flowers to adhere them to the card stock...and the turquoise ribbon gave it a nice touch.
Carol said this was a very quick project and you can make a bunch to give as a gift...very cute.

Kenzo's Birthday

I made this cute little card for my Grand puppy...LOL...he turned two years old...and just like my Yukiko...he's my baby too.

The card was very quick to make...took me less than 3o minutes...the stamp sets used are Canine Capers and Terrific Tags...both are retired from stampin' up...card stock used was Brilliant Blue, Ballet Blue, and Very Vanilla...Ink pads are Real Red, Chocolate Chip, Creamy Caramel, and Brilliant Blue...I used Markers to colour and highlight...Real Red, Creamy Caramel, Bashful Blue, Summer Sun, Old Olive, and Mellow Moss markers...I used the small and large rectangle punches to make the birthday tag...a blue paper clip from staples holds it in place...and a little piece of sheer blue ribbon from AC Moore tops the tag...supplies are from stampin' up.

That was a my quick card for today...hope everyone enjoys the rest of the day.

Blog Candy

Can you guys out there in blog land tell us what you think about blog candy...is it a good thing...bad thing...waste of time...what purpose does it serve...I see a lot of sites out there giving away blog candy...I am sure it can be expensive to do...because you have to give what people can use and it must be decent stuff...not garbage...and I am sure postage can be another huge factor...tell us what you think about this.

Have a great day.

Sue's Sale Sign

A couple of months ago I made these signs for one of my co-workers her kids were having a mother's day plant sale at their school...I didn't get a chance to stamp today so I thought I'd share this with you...it was really easy because I used up some scrap papers for the letters and times...I used Headline Alphabets, Delight In Life, and Monogram stamp sets by Stampin' Up...the card board was just a couple of extra gift boxes I had...I stamped the flowers on the card board...then stamped them on card stock and cut them out...then I layered them over the stamped images...very quick and easy to do....I was happy with the way they came out.

I didn't put anything specific on the sign such as dates...Sue wanted to be able to use the sign again for next years sale.

I hope to get back to stampin' again this weekend....but if not...I will have to pull something out of my archives to post.

I hope everyone has a great weekend...enjoy!

Supply Closet Makeover

I didn't get a chance to stamp today...spent the entire morning reorganizing my supply closet...Carol and I may be putting some of our stampin' stuff up for sale...in all these years of stampin' we have never sold any of our sets...this will be a tough call...if we actually do it...LOL...I put my sets in baskets and cute boxes...it really came out looking nice and neat.

I have containers for all the brads and eyelets...stacks of extra papers...containers of buttons...my dymo labeling tag machine has it's own little container with extra labels and batteries...a cute little basket for my s/u adhesive refills...on the very top I put all my photo's that I plan to scrapbook some day into those great photo boxes ...my fav magazines that I use for inspiration I put in folders from staples and filed them by year...for my little accessories...small odds and ends, I purchased some of those great containers for jewelry that have the dividers in them...whew!!!...that was a lot of work for the today...LOL...tell us how do you organize all your goodies.

Favorite Storage Container

Look at what I got today at the Container Store in New Jersey...a scrapbook cart...I didn't know they had anything like this....I love it...plenty of room for my 12x12 papers...the drawers come out and they have lids to keep everything dust free...and the drawers are see thru...it was a little pricey so it was my only purchase...this is my absolute favorite...what do you guys think?...do you love it.

It also came in white ...but I like the black one better.

Simply Scrappin' Notebook

I had wanted to start this little notebook for myself for some time now and finally got it started yesterday...it took me all day since I was doing it in between other things...I just finished putting the final touches on it...but I love how it turned out.

I got the idea from the Stampin' Success, 2007, April Issue...I may use this for a class, but use one of the newest stampin' up designer papers instead...I am sure my ladies would love it.

I used the Simply Scrappin' Friends and Flowers kit...Certainly Celery, So Saffron, More Mustard, and Only Orange card stock was
used...Ink pads used was Old Olive, Only Orange, and Chocolate Chip...from the Hodge Podge Hardware I used the large rectangular holder on the front of the notebook...inside the notebook I used Glorious Green eyelets...all supplies are from Stampin' up.
The post it pads are from staples..."laugh and 2008" chipboard is from KandCompany and the stripped and orange ribbons were purchased at Michael's.
Inside the notebook I used my Rounded Tab Punch for the tabs...and stickers from the friends and flowers scrappin' kit...I used the quotes from the retired set Quotes To Live By from stampin' up for daily inspiration.I was going to add ribbons to the spirals, but felt that all the other goodies was enough to catch the eye.
Thanks for stopping by today...have a stampin' good day.

Catty...Catty...Look at our Catty

Look what I did this morning...I took my Rounded Tab Punch...and using only my scraps...punched out these tabs for Carol and Me to use in our Catty.

Then I put them in our Catty to make it easier to find the sections that we need...last year Stampin' Up sent us a sheet of these and I found it helpful...so since they didn't send us any this year and I had the Tab Punch ...I made our own...this is another good way to use up those pesky scraps we all hate to throw away...just in case we may need them.

I don't know if you can tell from the photo...but it came out really nice...I love it when I'm organized...LOL...and I love it even more when I can get rid of those scraps.

Saturday's Catty and Customer Appreciation Celebration

Friday and Saturday was ...A Stampin' Good Time...we all had a great time and the ladies were all so surprised at how wonderful their projects turned out...everyone enjoyed browsing through the new catty and couldn't make up their minds what to order...now everyone knows how Carol and I feel when we have to place our orders...WE WANT IT ALL!!!...lol.

These are the four projects that our ladies tackled on Friday and Saturday...A Many Thanks Jar, A Christmas Ornament, and A Fall Sweet Treat Box...other ideas and uses for the sweet treat box can be found under the post for Monday, June 25th.

They also did a masculine card...the supplies for the card can be found under the post for Saturday, June 16th...the ladies were glad to be doing this card, because many times we don't have ideas to make a card for the men in our lives and just don't know where to begin...Carol...Thank You for solving that problem...we luv it...LOL.

Tiny Composition Books

I was finally able to get these mini composition books completed...because of all the little detailing...it took me all week to do them...these are also a part of the gifts for our weekend Catty Celebration...each guest that places an order will get one of these cute mini books...I used assorted pieces of scrap papers, card stocks, and ribbons...I used my Sizzix to cut out assorted shapes...I also had an assortment of shapes from KandCompany's chip board...Inside some of the books are cute stamped sayings or inspirations.
These cute mini composition books will be ready to go home with some lucky ladies who place an order on Friday or Saturday at the Catty celebration.
If you are making only one or two of these it will go fairly quickly...It took me a long time because I was trying to use up all my scraps of papers and ribbons...it was very time consuming trying to coordinate pieces and getting scrap pieces of ribbons to match the papers...but it was fun and I am pleased with how they turned out.

I put these little votives in plastic gift bags to give to some of the ladies who will be attending the catty celebration on Friday and Saturday ...I have Hazelnut Coffee and Vanilla Cookie votives...each guest will receive a votive of their choice...each bag is tied with red raffia and has a little tag on it that says "thanks so much"... this set is from Stampin' Up Tags So Much and is stamped in Regal Rose classic ink also from Stampin' Up...this project was quick, fun, and easy to do...Now I have to get back to work...I still have plenty to do before tomorrow...I am so far behind...I haven't even gone to the store yet to pick up the munchies and soft drinks...ok...I have to get back to work.

These votives are done and ready to go.

I've been sent to the crate

My mom is busy making her door prizes and she told me to stay in my crate...I was running around her feet...and almost made her fall...I didn't mean it...I just want to play...these stampin' parties are bummers for me...I want to play...and everyone wants to stamp...and of course I never get any of the munchies...unless of course someone accidentally drops a piece...then I make a mad dash for it...and I'm pretty good at moving fast when it comes to food....woof...woof....well I am going to make my sad eyes face and see if mommy will play with me...I hear her mumbling about doing some posts tomorrow...whatever that is...If she doesn't play with me soon...I might not give her back this piece of wood with this rubber stuff on it that I found on the floor near her chair...I will just hide it here for now under my favorite toy...woof...woof.

Little Notebooks

I made these little notebooks this morning...took me no time at all to whip up...they are two of the door prizes for our catty party on Friday and Saturday...I still have a couple of things in the works to make.
I used Basic Black, Only Orange, Very Vanilla, and Handsome Hunter card stock...Silver Cording...all from Stampin' Up...assorted ribbons and buttons are from AC Moore...Chipboard Words are from KandCompany, purchased at Michael's.
I wish I had purchased more of these, they were so quick to do...no stampin' involved and they make cute hostess gifts or door prize...I might have to go back....LOL.
Stay Cool...Today seems like the hottest day of the year...have a stampin' good day.

July Birthday Cards

These are the cards I made for my co-workers July Birthday's...everyone will get the same stamp set card for this month...I want to make sure I use all the stamp sets in my arsenal at one time or another and this seems like a good way to do it...LOL...the stamp set is Voila...and I plan on getting the new accessory set that came out in the new Stampin' Up catty that goes with this happy guy.

I used Real Red, Whisper White, and Brilliant Blue card stock...Brilliant Blue and Chocolate Chip inks...Barely Banana and Chocolate Chip stampin' write markers...I used the Spritzing Tool to spray the whisper white card stock...these supplies are from stampin' up.
The printed papers and the yellow stickles are from AC Moore.

To get my chefs outfit...I had to stamp him a couple of times on printed paper/card stock...and also a couple of times on the whisper white card stock.

Then I cut him out...I separated the outfits by cutting them out...into different pieces...the cuffs, collar, chefs hat, pants, and jacket...you will save time if you do two cards at the same time...since you need to stamp him twice any way to get the matching outfits.

Once the outfits are cut out you can put them together on the chefs that are stamped on the white card stock.

You can also co-ordinate his chefs cap, his sleeves, and his collar with the printed papers...to make this go easier for me...I ran my pieces through the xyron machine...this is quicker than trying to stop and run your tape over the pieces, especially the tiny cuffs and collar.
I have several more of these to do for July...I will post them as I complete them...hope you don't get bored, because I have several birthdays this month to use this set with....that's of course if I don't get bored doing it...LOL.
Have a great day everyone...hugs.
