Autumn

Today was rainy and gloomy all day...but I actually got a lot done...I have a draw full of unmounted rubber and I decided to start mounting some of them this morning...this one caught my eye and I just finished making this card with it...I don't know why I have so many pieces of unmounted rubber...I like all my stamps mounted...but I'm going to try and get them all inked with some cute cards or projects as soon as I can...I will have to apologize now...because almost all of them have no names or company's written on them...and I've had them so long I can't even remember where they were purchased.

Here is the recipe:
Stamps: season by season(retired)...and the pumpkins(unmounted/unknown).
*****
Card stock: very vanilla...chocolate chip...sage shadow...assorted scraps...and cream printer paper from Staples.
*****
Inks: basic brown.
*****
Punches: corner adorner photo slot from EKSuccess...scallop edge...and 1/16 inch hand held circle.

Ghosts...

This is one of the cards we made in class last night...It is one of my favorite Halloween stamp sets...but has been retired for quite some time...I decided to use it anyway...and the stampin' ladies loved it...I tried for a couple of hours this morning to upload these pics...my computer kept telling me they were already their...but when I looked in adobe "NOTHING"...I almost threw it and my camera out of the window...I don't know what I did...but I was able to get the photo's to upload...but the file still is showing that it is empty...my daughter is in Asia right now so I will have to wait for her to come back to see what I did wrong...plus the pics wouldn't come out nice and sharp...believe me...I took these shots about six times...and these were the best ones.

This is the quick and easy recipe:
Stamp sets: Spooks Galore(retired).
*****
Card stock: tangerine tango...whisper white...basic black...and white printer paper from staples.
*****
Inks: tangerine tango...and brilliance moonlight white pigment ink.
*****
Chalks: stampin' pastels.
*****
Additional supplies: sakura silver star glitter pen...snail adhesive...black and orange polyester ribbons from Joannes.
*****
All supplies from stampin' up unless otherwise noted.

Inside the card I have white printer paper to write my note or to stamp a sentiment...I like how I positioned the the stamped images to show the bats flying in the background...that card stock was downloaded from another site...but I can't remember which one...if I come across it again...I will update this post...I also chalked the ghosts with grey chalk...that made the stamped image a little softer than leaving the pure black showing...I really like how the card turned out.

Thank you so much for stopping by on this rainy morning and sharing our Friday evening card with us...it has been a stressful morning...and I need something stronger than a cup of tea...so I think I'll go and have a cup of very strong coffee with lots of sugar and french vanilla cream...mmmmmm!!...yummo...LOL...thanks again everyone...and have a stampin' good day.

Autumn Thanks

I had to do a quick card this morning before I ran out for my appointment...and this fit the bill...I'm so sorry for the dark pics...but lighting this morning is a Little cloudy...the "Thanks" was left over from scrap card stock...the die wouldn't cut through the paper and this is what I ended up with...I used a marker to highlight it...I had purchased some dies from Oh My Crafts...and unfortunately the customer service was so terrible I would never shop with them again...they also charge a restocking fee for returned items...and it doesn't matter if the items are damaged or not through no fault of your own...once your cash gets in their hands...your out of luck and the item is yours to keep...good luck getting them to answer your e-mails.

This is my quick recipe:
Stamp sets: absolutely NONE...YOOO!!!...HOOOO!!!.
*****
Card stock: naturals ivory...riding hood red...tangerine tango...old olive...first fruits from Papertry Ink...and cream printer paper from staples.
*****
Inks: tangerine tango.
*****
Markers: stampin' write old olive.
*****
Additional supplies: scallop corner punch...cuttle bug autumn type folder...sheer satin edge boutique amber ribbon from American crafts...fiskar cutter...Adirondack dimensional pearls pesto...and score-it board.
*****
All supplies from stampin' up unless otherwise noted.

Thanks for stopping by this morning...and have a stampin' good day.

Scrapbook and Papercraft Festival

Carol and I went to the scrapbook and paper craft festival on Sunday...this is some of the goodies I was able to get...and a couple of things I'm kicking myself for not picking up.

This is the new dauber box I purchased to keep my daubers nice and neat in...Carol grabbed herself one also...the little tiny bag has black metal mini photo corners...Carol purchased the silver ones...they are so cute.

I should have grabbed this cuppy cake stamp...it is very cute.

I should have also gotten this layered stamp from outlines.

After getting home and looking at the samples I was kicking myself.

I will definitely be snagging it if she has it next year...it looks like a lot of work...but it's such a cute stamp.

This is the wooden block I got to mount my new rubber candy jar onto...outlines had a box of damaged blocks for sale...there was nothing wrong with this piece that Carol or I could see.

These are my first three bottle of dimensional pearls from Adirondack...Cranberry(looks very much like S/U rose red)...Butterscotch(looks very much like S/U more mustard)...and Pesto(looks very much like S/U garden green)...I will definitely be adding more of these to my stash...it gives cards/projects nice dimension...I guess that's why they're called dimensional paints...LOL.

This is my new stash of stickles glitter glue...lime green...cinnamon...fruit punch...waterfall...lavender...golden rod...black diamond...silver...clear diamonds...and burgundy...the lady told us they will be coming out with more colours after the holidays.

This is the piece of unmounted rubber I was able to get...it is the candy jar...I can't wait to play with it.

This is after I mounted it and...put my colour sample on the wood block.

This is one of her samples...this one is filled with colourful mini beads...she did it like a shaker card.

This sample she cut out lots of little gingerbread men...and filled the jar with them.

Well that was our day at the festival...we had a great time...there was less vendors there this year...so Carol and I was able to save tons of money...LOL...on the way home we decide to stop and have dinner...so that we didn't have to cook when we got home...I had a delish Fish and Chips platter...and Carol had a Pita Pizza...we also splurged and had dessert which we usually never do...but we were starving...LOL...I had Cheesecake smothered in strawberries...and Carol had the delish creamy Rice Pudding...by the time we got home...we were both exhausted...and was glad that we had decided to have dinner out...all in all it was a great day.

Thanks everyone for stopping by this morning...I hope everyone has a stampin' good day.

*****

So Kind

It's a good thing that the rest of this card went along quickly...because it took me forever to cut out the "so kind" sentiment...I pre-ordered my new cuttle bug folders and dies from Oh My Crafts...and the customer service was awful...the dies with sentiments on them don't cut very well and you have to use tiny scissors to completely cut them out...she wouldn't take them back without charging me a restocking fee...but to make a long story short today...I ended up getting in touch with Provo craft and they will exchange them for new ones for me...One thing I know...Oh My Crafts has lost me as a customer...because I will never shop with her again...they don't even answer their e-mails most of the time...anyway...I have to get this post done...Carol will be here in a couple of hours and we are going to spend the day at a scrapbook and rubber stamp festival..it will be a lot of fun.

This is my quickie recipe:

Stamp set: pick a petal.

*****

Card stock: whisper white...assorted scraps from my stash...and cream printer paper.

*****

Inks: tangerine tango...and kiwi kiss.

*****

Additional supplies: sticky strip...snail adhesive...cuttle bug With Gratitude die and folder...1 inch circle punch...3/4 inch circle punch...score-it...and fiskar cutter.

All supplies from stampin' up unless otherwise noted.

*****

The cream printer paper is embossed on the edges with the same floral design as the white card stock.

Thanks for stopping by...and taking a peek here today...have a stampin' good day.
