Cheers to You

Carol has made a couple of nice masculine cards to share with us this morning...any guy would love these...or use pastel colours for a more feminine touch.

The chocolate chip and creamy caramel colours go great with the natural twill ribbon...I love it.

Don't you just love the stamped diamond background...inside the card Carol used white printer paper to hand write or stamp a sentiment...and the scalloped square was layered to give it more dimension.

Is it cold this morning or what...I'm surprised inside my house isn't too cold...but that's because right now the wind isn't blowing all the heat out...I'll be staying inside today and trying to stay as warm as a bunny...lol...Carol thanks so much for sharing another great card with us this morning...a big thank you to everyone for droppin' by this morning...I hope you all enjoyed Carol's card as much as I did...if you must go outside...dress in layers...stay warm...and I hope you all have a stampin' good time.

you hit the nail...Challenges

Operation write home challenge was to use the colours browns and blues in a fathers day card...the inspiration for the challenge came from a shower curtain in on of the DT members home.

www.owhstarsandstamps.org

C4C#32
Over at Crazy 4 challenges we had to use one ribbon...two buttons/brads...and three different punches in our card or project...I was told it's as easy as 123...lol.

www.crazy4challenges.blogspot.com

cQc #27
Over at ColourQ challenge we had to incorporate Tangerine Tango...Night of Navy...Tempting Turquoise...Soft Suede...and white in our card, project, or layout...the inspiration for this project was this boys bomber jacket.

www.colourq.blogspot.com

Mojo Monday weekly challenge #133 was to use this sketch for our card or layout.

www.mojomonday.blogspot.com

This is how I incorporated the challenges into my card.

This is my challenging recipe:

Stamps: totally tool...all holidays...and tools background.
*****
Card stock: whisper white...tangerine tango...night of navy...tempting turquoise...soft suede...and white printer paper.
*****
Ink: tangerine tango...night of navy...tempting turquoise...and soft suede.
*****
Markers: stampin' write.
*****
Punches: 1/16" hand held circle...2 1/4" scallop...2X3 oval...2" square...argyle folder...and sizzix hammer/nail die.
*****
Additional supplies: big shot...fiskar...score-it...S/U mini glue dots...sticky strip...crystal effects...the Robins Nest men's dew drops...mini silver brads...and multi colour rope ribbon.

This is the sentiment inside of the card...Happy Fathers day.

My outside sentiment says "you hit the nail...

...on the head".

I really blew a couple of my challenges last week...one I copied the wrong sketch...and on another I missed the deadline...I hope this week I do much better...I made a list this time which I will pay better attention to instead of depending on my lousy memory...lol.

Thanks for droppin' by this cold morning...I feel like winter is back compared to the last few days...plus my allergies started early this year...I've been sneezing my fool head off...and I look like I'm crying with my eyes constantly tearing...but I'm a trooper...I still get up every morning and stamp...oh boy what a sacrifice...he!he!he!

Stop by these blogs and try the challenges for yourself...they will heal whatever ails you...and you will have fun...enjoy the morning...and I hope you all have a stampin' good day.
