Carol's Snow Burst Tag

Carol and I had our stampin' good time ladies class tonight and we continued our Totally Tags month...these are the adorable cards the ladies made...Carol had them make a set of 3 tags each...I must apologize because the picture doesn't show how glittery the snowflakes are...I kept taking them over and over...but out of the lot this one was the best.

These tags are so tiny and cute...the stampin' good time ladies loved them...so did I.

The card measures approximately 2 7/8" X 1 7/8" and the cute...cute little envie measures approximately 2 X 3.

This is Carol's recipe:

Stamp Set: Snow Burst (mini holiday catty).

Inks: Night of Navy and Versa Mark Watermark.

Card Stock: Whisper White and Night of Navy.

Additional Supplies: Silver Pearl-Ex (retired), Q-tips, snail adhesive, and S/U mini gift card template (retired).

This was such an easy project and you could make many of these little gift cards in a short period of time...thank you Carol for sharing this with us...the stampin' good time ladies and I loved this adorable project.

It is absolutely fridge outside and the wind is just as bad...tomorrow doesn't plan on being any better...maybe this is a good weekend to stay home and have a stampin' good time...anybody want to join me...I will have the coffee/tea pot on all day...LOL...and some YUMMO!!! cookies too.

I don't have time to post my project tonight ...so I will do it tomorrow...thank you for stopping by tonight and have a stampin' good evening.

The Oil Truck

I just made one of the first of my Christmas cards...my oil delivery man will get this one.

This set is so much fun...it is very versatile and with the set of accessory set you can do a lot with it...I have used it for birthday cards also...I love it...I could have used a truck like this one this morning when I went shopping...LOL.
Stamps set: Loads of Love and Happy Holiday sentiment from Katie & Co. purchased at Michael's.
Card stock: Wild Wasabi, Whisper White, and garden Green.
Inks: Close to Cocoa and Garden Green.
Markers: Going Grey, So Saffron, Certainly Celery, and Mellow Moss.
Additional Supplies: Wild Wasabi double stitch ribbon, Snail adhesive, score-it board, Sakura green and yellow glitter pens.
Inside the card is a piece of cream printer paper so that I can add my holiday message since the card stock is a little dark...I also love how the double stitch ribbon makes the truck look like it's driving on the road.
Thank you for sharing a small piece of my day with me...hope you have a stampin' good day.

Jean's Thanks So Much

I received this card from Jean over at Stampin' Cos It's fun a few weeks ago, but never had a chance to post it...I thought I would do that today since I was too tired this morning to make a card...I got up at 4am to go to walmart...but after being shoved and pushed I left empty handed...then I headed over to Kohl's and as I opened the door a woman ran past me and rammed her shopping cart into my left hip...when she didn't apologize I was so angry I had to let out a few choice words I had for her...which I can't repeat here...and her response was "WOW some people have no holiday spirit"...I have no spirit holiday or otherwise when a rude witch slams me with her shopping cart at 5am in the morning...after going into the store I saw only one register was open...and if you can believe this there was a two and a half hour wait on a line that started at the front of the store and wound it's way all the way to the back of the building...so I left this store empty handed also...I ended up limping to my car that was parked almost a block away...I will never do this again...I will pay regular prices for what I want before going through this aggravation ever again...don't believe those retailers when they say that their profit margin is down...from what I saw this morning the parking lots were full and so were peoples shopping carts...now that I've whined to all of you I feel much better.

Jean is a Stampin' Up demonstrator in Blackwater, Australia and she did a beautiful job on this card...she layered whisper white, old olive, perfect plum and pale plum card stock onto another sheet of perfect plum...inside she wrote her note onto white printer paper since the perfect plum is very dark...she added very pretty white ribbon...the thank you sentiment is layered on old olive, perfect plum, and summer sun circles.she used her assortment of markers to colour in the image...ink was used to smudge the edges of the card stock...and it looks like a paper piercing tool was used to put the holes onto the whisper white card stock...the card is beautiful and it was just what I needed to look at this morning to get me out of my grumpy mood...thank you Jean.
I hope the rest of you have a better shopping Friday than I did...LOL...I will wait till next week and pick up what I need...can you believe I didn't even stop in at Michael's or AC Moore to use my 50% off coupon...wow!!! I must have really been mad...maybe tomorrow I will use it...but today I will stay home and have a stampin' good time.

I hope everyone has a stampin' good day and a better shopping experience than I did.

Give Thanks

I love sunflowers and I just love how this card turned out...I wish you could see how the glimmer mist makes this card shine...the basket of leaves is cut out and thick pop dots raise it away from the card...I used my scalloped punch for the circle and stamped my happy harvest sentiment in the center...the printed paper in the background was purchased at Joannes, it had a bunch of different shapes in the package.

The sentiment on this card says " give thanks for the simple things in life and I tried to keep the card simple...just the bucket of fresh juicy apples and a lightly stamped background...the plain hemp twine holding the sentiment in place completes the look...I love this card too.

This is the recipe:

Stamps: Give Thanks from stampin' up and Happy Harvest sentiment from stampourri.

Card Stock: Really Rust, Whisper white, Old Olive, True Thyme (retired) and assorted scraps.

Inks: Close to Cocoa and Really Rust.

Markers: Assorted colours.

Additional Supplies: Snail adhesive, Scallop punch, Ticket Corner punch, Pop dots, natural hemp twine, Gold Glimmer Mist from the tattered angel purchased from Eclectic Paperie, Sakura clear glitter pen from The Great American Stamp store, orange single stitched ribbon purchased from Joannes, and Colour dusters from Judikins.

This project was so quick...I can't believe it myself..all I did was use a scrap piece of leftover card stock, some chipboard letters, a note clip, ribbon, and a post-it note pad...absolutely no stampin' was involved...what a cute gift this would make...best of all I had everything on hand...I did not have to purchase anything extra.

This is the recipe:
Card Stock: Chocolate chip.

Additional Supplies: Snail adhesive, red eyelets, assorted coloured brads, silver note clip, post it- note pad, Copper Penny Lion brand ribbon, provo craft wood rooster, Japanese Screw Punch, and KandCompany chipboard letters.

Thoroughly Thankful

This stamp set is so flexible...you can stamp and then colour the entire picture...or cut it into smaller pieces to do a tag or a mini card...above I used the entire stamped image for my card.

In this picture I chose to cut out a portion of the image for this card and added a sentiment next to it...on the bottom of the card I stamped the Friendship sentiment.

This is the recipe:
Stamp set: Thoroughly Thankful, Warm Words, and Season by Season (retired).
Card stock: Very Vanilla, Really Rust, Cranberry Crisp (retired), Always Artichoke, Whisper White, and assorted scraps.
Inks: Chocolate Chip and Old Olive.
Chalks and Markers: assorted colours.
Additional Supplies:Snail Adhesive, Scotch Quick Dry Tacky Adhesive, Sakura Stardust Green, Yellow, and Orange Glitter pens, Green rhinestones purchased at Joannes and True Thyme single stitched ribbon (retired).
Making these cards were quick, easy, and fun...hope you like them. I am going to get started on another project...it is snowing so I will stay home today...when I woke up at 5am it was already coming down lightly, so Yukiko and I took a quick walk to get the paper...it was cold.

OUCH!!!

Tsune and Titi's car...

Last Sunday morning this is how my daughter and son-in-law woke up to find their car.

Someone had thrown a big rock or something very big onto the hood and into the windshield of their car...nothing was stolen from inside...several cars on the block were also damaged and the police had to be called.

The windshield was very badly damaged...whats wrong with people today???...why don't they just stay home and stamp...or do some scrap booking...LOL.

Have a stampin' good day...I'm off to my craft fair.

Mini Notebooks #2

I have a very short post today....these are some more of the little mini notebooks that I made today...this set of notebooks were covered with left over country plaids and stripes papers...and I did do a little stamping to make the "My Notes" sentiments.

Our craft fair is tomorrow morning and I am extremely exhausted after making all new things and spent the evening in the freezing cold packing my car so that I wouldn't have to do it in the dark tomorrow morning...LOL.this set of notebooks were covered with some left over fall papers I had...and I added some chipboard pieces from another collection from Kand Company called words and tags.

This set I did with some leftover stripe papers and used my sizzix to make the name plates but left them blank...this way whatever sentiment the person wants to add to the cover they have room for it.
Well I am going to finish my tea...then head to bed...I am totally exhausted...thank you for stopping by this evening and have a stampin' good evening.

Mini Notebooks #1

Carol and I have our first craft fair of the holiday season this Saturday...so I whipped up a few of these mini notebooks that I like so much...they were quick and easy...I used left over papers from other projects, but I had lots and lots of embellishments that I had never used...so this was a great opportunity to open up these packages and put them to good use...on these little notebooks I used country plaid papers and embellishments from KandCompany's Brenda Walton Shapes and Tags.

These next set of notebooks also use another set of country papers and the embellishments from Brenda's shapes and tags collection...all the little notebooks are tied closed with pretty ribbons that I also had on hand.

This set of notebooks are a little different...the Asian ladies were hand stamped and coloured with assorted markers and I had papers that my daughter had bought back from Japan for me that I hadn't used yet...I believe the papers are Origami papers...they are very pretty and colourful...these I decided not to add any ribbons to close them.
***************************
I enjoy making these and will make more today..I want to have a nice basketful for my display...not sure how much I will charge for them yet.
It is pouring rain outside...perfect to stay home and have a stampin' good time...I think I will get myself a nice cup of hot tea and see how many more of these adorable little notebooks I can make...I may even treat myself to a few cookies...LOL.
***************************
Thanks everyone for stopping by...you are welcome to come and join me for a stampin' good time if you happen to be in my neighbourhood...LOL...the hot water is on and I have lots of cookies to share...yummo.

Mini Christmas Tags

I completed these tags in less than half an hour...there was no stamping...they were quick...quick...quick and easy .

Everything I used was scraps left over from other projects or classes.

The two little Christmas trees, the wreath, and the Christmas bulb was left over from cards or a project I made last year.

I don't remember were I purchased some of the supplies, but my favorite is the vellum paper with the merry Christmas written all over it...I checked at Michael's, ACMoore, and Joannes and none of the stores had any vellum like that, so this pattern must be something I've had a long time.

I hope you enjoy my little tags...try and think of ways to use up your scraps so that nothing is wasted.

Thank you for stopping by...enjoy the brisk weather...take a long walk then come in and enjoy a cup of hot coffee or tea.

Stamps: Apples from the Yvonne Albritton collection.

Card Stock: Chocolate Chip, and Whisper White.

Inks: Basic Black.

Markers: Real Red, Rose Red, More Mustard, and Old Olive.

Additional Supplies: Snail Adhesive, Diamond Glaze, Real Red Grosgrain Ribbon, light green and brown ribbons purchased at Michael's, and green nature's elegance tab purchased at Joannes.

Totally Tags

For Saturday's class we went Totally Tags...Carol and I did a couple of gift tags for the holidays and our ladies luv'd...luv'd...luv'd them...and so did we...we have been patting each other on the backs for a job well done. Carol's little tags were so adorable and quick she had the ladies make a set of four...I did a snowflake tag...it was a nice size so it can be used as a gift card also if you wanted...it did take time to cut out, but once that was done you were slip sliding away with it...LOL.

The snowflake tag used the outline side of the snowflake stamp and the card used the solid side of the stamp plus the "Winter Wishes" sentiment...I cut the sentiment away from the snowflake and Carols' husband cut a piece of wood for me to mount it on...thanks Jim.

This is the recipe:

Stamp set: Super size Snowflake Outline and Thanks snow much purchased at The Great American Stamp Store.

Card stock: Whisper white for the snowflake tag...whisper white, ballet blue, not quite navy, and brocade blue for the card.

Inks: Ballet blue and Bashful blue

Additional supplies: Silver cording, snail adhesive, Scotch quick dry adhesive and the Sakura blue glitter pen from the Great American Stamp Store, Snowflake glimmer mist by the Tattered Angels purchased from Eclectic Paperie, snowflake eyelet (unknown), and rhinestones purchased at Michael's (ACMoore also has these rhinestones in assorted colours).

The picture of Carol's adorable little tag doesn't do it justice...because as everyone knows I can't take a good pic to save my life...the stampin' ladies loved it...not only was it quick, but it was also easy to make.

This is the quickie recipe:

Stamp set: Punch pals.

Card Stock: Rose red and Whisper white.

Additional supplies: Assorted coloured pencils, snail adhesive, and stickles icicle glitter.

All supplies are Stampin' Up unless otherwise noted.

Thank you everyone for taking the time to stop by today...the weather is beautiful today but it is COLD...COLD...COLD...we had snow yesterday morning, but it didn't last...enjoy the beautiful day.

Have a stampin' good time...I plan to.

Apples for Sale

The colours in this cute card makes my mouth water because it reminds me of a juicy Red Delicious Apple...it was easy to make...the printed papers and card stock are left over scrap pieces...the colours are brighter than fall, but those juicy apples in the basket definitely bring the feeling of fall to mind.

The quick and easy recipe:
Stamp sets: Large Bushel Basket, Large Apples, Apple Slices, and Apples for sale sentiment.
**********
Papers and Card stock: country plaid papers, country stripes papers , Whisper White, and Real Red card stock.
**********
Ink: Pumpkin Pie and Black Pigment Ink.
**********
Additional Supplies: assorted watercolour pencils, snail adhesive, splender blender pencil from Rembrandt, stickles clear glitter, and red gingham ribbon from Michael's.

After I stamped the apples I cut them out...at the top of the basket I made a slit and slide the bottom half of the apples into it...I used my snail adhesive to hold it into place and then I curled the leaves a little...giving it some dimension....this same technique could be used with any basket stamp and anything you would want to add to the basket...the apple slices used a white watercolour pencil and then I used the splender blender pencil to blend it together...to finish of the card I used a little stickles glitter to look like dew drops...I used a regular 5x7 cream card stock for the card.

I hope everyone enjoyed my card...thanks for stopping by.

Have a stampin' good evening.
